I watched as y/n smiled in her hospital bed. She was so full of life even if she's going to die soon.. I hated that she hid her pain from everybody, like everything was okay. That she wasn't going to die soon. That she didn't get shot. I hated how she was so happy, even on her death bed. Everybody was surrounding her hospital bed and they all kept her smiling and laughing. Making her last moments the best of her time. Y/n's eyes landed onto mine and she smiled at me. I couldn't help but smile back at her. She made me the happiest person on the planet, even in times like this.. I watched as the love of my life kept that beautiful smile I fell in love with. She was in pain, I could tell by her eyes. Y/n knew what the future held for her. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked and saw Evan. He looked down at me and gave me a reassuring smile.

"Can I talk to you privately?" Evan asked as I nodded. We left y/n's hospital room and into the hallway. We walked around as Evans eyes began to get red. "It's all my fault.." My eyes widened as I realized Evan is blaming himself for y/n. "I should of never let her go on the heist with us. If I said no, she wouldn't be here.." I put a hand on his shoulder.

Evan, Tyler, y/n and I were going on a heist. We were going to help steal some stuff for Michael. He needed some stuff for Trevor and we couldn't exactly say no. It was originally going to be Tyler, Evan and I until y/n begged to come. Evan couldn't say no to her either. She was like a younger sister to Evan. We all arrived to the place. Evan, Tyler and I followed exactly like the plan. Y/n stayed in the car like ordered. We were in the house when we heard a gunshot.. We ran outside and saw y/n with a face that I couldn't even explain. She was scared for her life.. We didn't even finish stealing that day and immediately brought y/n to the hospital. She's been in here for almost two days now. She got shot in the stomach area and was bleeding internally to her death. The doctors couldn't do anything no matter how much we offered to pay them. They're the type to not care about what happens to people like us.

"You didn't know this was going to happen.. We all thought she was going to be okay.. It's.. She's... Evan, we really fucked up. I know that but she's .. I can't even believe she's laughing in that room.. Knowing that her time is coming soon." I said as Evans eyes looked into mine. His eyes dark and red. He didn't lose eye contact and reached into my pocket, grabbing the box I hid in my jacket for days now. Waiting for the right moment.

"It's my fault that you can't propose to y/n.." He said opening the box and looking at the diamond ring. It sparkled and I knew it was perfect for y/n.. I just wish I could of did it sooner..

I remember tears streaming down your face

I can't just let go of y/n. I also can't let Evan blame himself for this. My hands turning into fists. The tears started streaming down my face, I felt my knees become weak. I fell to my knees and cried. Blocking everything out.

When all those shadows almost killed your light

"Brian?" I looked up and saw y/n. I immediately ran up to her and hugged her. "Oh my god.. Brian? Are you okay?" She asked as I pulled away and looked at her. Her face was pale and her hair was lighter, her eyes darker. I kissed her lips that were cold as ice.

But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Her dead eyes stared at me, scared.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I realized her eyes were looking behind me. I turned around and saw Evan standing there. Evan was being held with a gun to his head.

"Nobody move." Was all that was said from the man under the mask. I felt y/n grab the back of my shirt.

"What do you want?" I asked as he smirked.

"What I always wanted, y/n dead." Evans eyes widened.

"You sick bastard!" Evan yelled as he grabbed his arms and threw him on the ground, knocking him unconscious .

"I'm sick and tired of that fucken asshole." I mumbled to myself.

I felt y/n cry into my shoulder. I turned around and embraced her.

"Brian.. You can't blame yourself for what happened to me.. When my time comes, I want you and Evan to not blame yourselves for what happened ever. We all do stupid things.. You don't know what happened outside but I made fun of that guy.. He completely heard and shot me.. Trust me it's not your fault." She let go of me and looked into my eyes. "I also don't want you to hold yourself back because of me. I love you dearly Brian and I know you're going to do well in life. Have kids, explore the world.. Do everything I wanted to do.. For me? Okay." Y/n whispered as I nodded. She smiled and pecked my lips. "Besides I'll be safe and sound where I'm going." I felt my eyes get watery and I didn't want y/n to see me cry more.. I decided to bring her to her room and let her rest.

"You should lay down.." I whispered to y/n as I rubbed her back. She nodded and I walked back with her to her room, Evan not far from us. The nurses helped the man and took him to a room.. Far from us. Y/n got into her bed and I sat beside her bed. I started getting tired and laid my head in her lap. She began running her hand through my hair. I instantly became more tired and sleepy. "I love you." I mumbled into her lap.

"I love you too Brian." She whispered as I finally crashed.

One year later

y/n died that night.. The man who tried to hurt again was put in jail.. Today's the anniversary of her death.. I went and bought her favourite flowers for her. I wasn't even awake when she took her last breath.. I was asleep on her lap. It was raining and was grey outside. Typical weather for today. I pulled up into the cemetery and grabbed my umbrella. I went and placed a blanket in front of her tombstone. I sat down and read her tombstone.

I felt a tear slip my eyes.

"You left me to soon babygirl.." I said to her. I placed the flowers down and sat there. I hugged my knees and cried. "It's been a year, and I'm so sorry.. Evan's been a mess and still blames himself. I wish I protected you during the heist.. I wish you were still here. I .. I still love you even to this day. I miss your voice and your laugh, I miss hugging and kissing you. I miss doing everything with you.." I reached into my pocket and grabbed the velvet black box. I opened it and saw the diamond ring I was going to propose y/n with. I dug a spot beside her grave and buried it. "I wanted to have a family with you, I wanted to marry you.. You were my princess but I wanted to make you my queen.. I wanted to take you to places that you and I would both love.. " I placed my hands on the ground and cried. I didn't care if my hands were dirty or that the rain soaked my whole body. I lost the only thing I loved in this world. The only thing that made me happy the most. I wanted to make her feel the same way. Looking at pictures of her isn't the same was as seeing her in person.. I didn't like seeing her in pain, I hated that she left me so soon. I wanted us to be the perfect couple. I wanted everything with her. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her..
