C H A P T E R 3. (Alice's POV)

After I ate my cereal, I sat and said my prayers. Wendy and Peter Pan taught me to that everyday. They are so nice to me. They treat me like one of the Lost boys. I've never met any of the Lost boys, so I guess I'm not certain, but from the stories I heard they are very nice. Wendy never mentions them. It quite confuses me. The only reasons I heard about the Lost Boys was because of June. She gave me a poem all about Neverland. I read Peter Pan,but that was long ago. A time before I came to this terrible, cold prison cell. I remember some of it,but the poem helps me remember more.

  Take me to Neverland . . .

Where you never grow old

and you never grow up.

Where mermaids swim and the pirates never win.

Where the Lost Boys roam,

wondering free,

and fairies play,

through the trees.

Where crocodiles tick and tock

through the sea.

Where Captain Hook has a first mate

called Smee.

Take me to Neverland . . .

It is beautiful, I keep it in my pocket for rainy days. I always ask June who wrote it because it is oddly familiar to me. She refuses to say. The poem is one of the few things she won't tell me about.
