Steven led Peridot and the Gems to the barn, where Lapis Lazuli had been living for the past few years. "Hey Lapis!" Steven waved to her. "You remember Peridot, right?" Lapis flew down from the loft of the barn. She glared at Peridot before replying. "Of course I do. We've only known each other for 2,000 years, duh." She rolled her eyes. "What do you want, anyway?"

"Well, I, uh..." Peridot stammered, a bit startled by the blue gem's attitude. "We need tools to fix this robonoid we found," Steven finished for her. "Can we borrow some?" Lapis looked from him to Peridot and back, before nodding. "Sure, just don't break anything. I'll need them back." She flew back up to the loft. "T-thanks Lazuli!" Peridot shouted up at her.

After searching the barn for a while, Steven found a desk big enough for the robonoid. "Here, use this." He cleared it off hastily, shoving the junk littering the top into a box. Peridot inspected it, knocking on its surface and dusting it off. "This should work... Hey Amethyst, put it here!" Amethyst plopped the robonoid onto the table with a bang, then went to explore the barn. "Later dudes," she said as she clambered up a pile of boxes.

Peridot laid the robonoid's legs out on the desk carefully, summoning her finger screen to find blueprints. Steven peeked over her shoulder, intrigued by the diagram of the bot's inner workings. "Need any help?" He asked. "Yes, actually. Can you get me some tools?" Peridot replied, not looking away from the screen. Steven nodded. "Like what?" She paused for a moment. "Hmm, let's see... I'll definitely need a leverage optimizer, to help dismantle it. Also an energy transmit bisector, and maybe a-" "Wait, what? What the heck are those?"

Peridot glanced back at him. "Uh, tools? Don't you have them?" Steven shrugged. "I've never even heard of those things." She sighed. "I'll get them myself, then." "Wait!" Steven grabbed her hand. "You could get lost in there! There's a ton of stuff back there." She tugged her hand away. "So? I can find my way back." "I know the way to the tools," he insisted. "You don't."

Peridot stopped. The half-gem had a point. "Alright, fine. You can lead the way." She stuck out her hand reluctantly. Steven smiled and took it. "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing." Peridot rolled her eyes and smirked. "I trust you." The two of them stepped into the maze of junk together.
