"You know what? I'm done packing my clothes." I raise the both of my hands up, because I'm giving up for putting in another clothes and foot wears. I don't know how packing your things could take 7 hours in a day because of choosing the right clothes for winter season and also stuffing my medium-sized luggage with most of the clothing set from my closet. Well my closet looks like the one-third part is empty now.
Passport, boarding pass, toiletries, my makeup bag, some cards, and some cash of Pound-sterling already get inside my backpack. And I can't be more excited. You know what? Screw it. I'm ecstatic. Because this is literally the first time I've ever gone out of the country of this lovely United States of America and not to forget that I'm also going to meet Tyler for the very first time. Gahh, I'm so excited.
Well despite the excitement that I had in me, deep down inside I'm really nervous. Not like the one you usually feel when you didn't study for the test you have in the next morning, but the one that you usually feel when you're going to go for your really first date with someone that you really really like. I don't know why it happens to me because this is unusual. Traveling alone by your own and going outside of the country to feel European air for the very first time. How's that not even exciting?
"Look, I know you're nervous because this is Tyler that you're meeting. But you have to at least calm down and try to think straight." Brit is now standing with her hand on her hips staring down at me.
Well I'm currently on the floor, laying lazily because I'm just so sick of packing my clothes. I'm afraid that London is going to be cold like how north pole is, since I heard European air is really really cold. I pack my winter coats, scarves, dresses, baggy clothes, and basically the whole wardrobe thing. And I'm just so nervous about everything.
"Wait, let me get you something." She walks away from my room to get something that's probably might helping me out before walking back in with a beer bottle in her hand. "Here, drink this."
I take the beer bottle from her hand and pour it in inside my mouth. Hmm. Wait, what is the brand? I take down the beer bottle to look at the brand and I ogle at the sight of words that are carved down on the bottle.
"How did you get this one?" I ask Brit. I swear my eyes are bigger now like a size of Swedish Meatballs. Thinking of my eyes as big as Swedish Meatballs makes my stomach flutters in hungriness. Damn, for food to always intimidate me.
She gives me a look. The one that tells are you an idiot. "From grocery shops? You know at Joe's?" One of her eyebrows is raised up dumbfounded.
This brand is spectacular. Not because it's rare or hardly to find but this brand is very expensive and also tasty. The first time my parents asked me if I want to taste beer for the first time is with this beer and from that moment on, I found myself love drinking any kind of liquors. When things stressed you out, go get beers. But not like this beer because it'll take the most of your money. Some beers only cost like $8 but this one is a legend. This one costs like $35 and I swear no college students would like to throw their money for this beer. Surely indeed no one.
"Because this beer is legit and expensive." I make an okay hand sign to her as I chug in the beer to my mouth. I roll my eyes in pleasure before letting out a moan.
She rolls her eyes before walking out of the room. So this is how our friendship really like. We annoy the shit out of each other but in some other time, we support and help to sort each other's problems. And that's what I like about her. She can't just be herself in whenever and wherever she is. The girl next door I used to annoy with my dad's help.
