Chapter 5

I woke up early today kasi today is September eight. Its mommy's birthday. And we are celebrating Mother Mary's birthday as well.

"Nathan. All things are set up." Lucy said. I nodded.

"Lucy? Did you brought the rope I told you to bring?" I asked. She nodded.

"Its already in your room." She answered. 

"Now wait for mommy to come home. Surprise her okay? I will be the last one who'll surprise her." I said. She nodded.

"Tita Tito, thank you for all your efforts. I will take this as a big debt in you." I said,

"Ano ka bang bata ka! Napakadrama mo. Kahit di mo na ito gawing utang as long as you're Lucy's friend. We're ready to help." Tita answered, I smiled and hugged them both.

"Lucy take care of yourself okay? You'll handle the surprise party here downstairs I'll handle mine in my room. Just like we've plan okay? Tell her to go to my room." I said. She nodded.

"Grandma is taking care of mommy now. So let us all be ready." I said and they all went to places. I went straight to my room but before that I had a glimpse of them. I am very thankful they helped me. I couldn't have done this without them. Hope this will be a success. Then I entered my room to proceed for my surprise for my mom.

Kendry P.O.V

"Mama? Ano na naman pong kakulitan ito?" Ang tanong ko kay Mama kasi kanina pa siya pabalik balik sa grocery store may nakalimutan daw. Eh pambihira limang beses na siyang bumabalik balik doon.

"Wait lang anak meron pa." Ang sabi niya. Napa-cross arms nalang ako saka ako naghintay. Ang tagal pa naman niyang maglakad.

"Tara na anak." Ang nakangiting sambit ni mama nang makarating na siya sa kinaroroonan ko.

"Ang tagal."  Ang pabulong kong sabi.

"Pasensya ka na anak." Ang sabi ni mama. Umiling nalang ako saka ko siya pinagikutan ng mata.

Sana lang nakapagluto na itong si Nathan sa bahay at para makakain na ako. Sobrang gutom na ako.  Nagpasama pa itong si mama sus! Doble tuloy gutom ko. Napahawak ako sa tiyan ko dahil sumasakit na ito. Dahil siguro sa gutom.

"Anak." Nabali ang katahimikang bumabalot sa amin ni mama nang magsalita siya.

"Hmm?" Ang tangi kong turan.

"Napakaswerte natin kay Nathan ano?" Ang masaya niyang sambit. 

"Tch!" Ang matipid kong saad at saka umiling. "Kayo lang ma. Alam mo namang bwisit na bwisit ako sa batang yan." Ang sabi ko.
