Sirius's P.O.V
"We wish you a Merry Christmas! We wish you a Merry Christmas! We wish you a Merry Christma-"
Thwack!
I laughed as Trinity hit James with a roll of parchment, her Transfiguration textbook on her knee.It was Christmas, and James was acting like he had just been told he was to be king of England. I mean, sure, Christmas was great and all, but was it really that big of a deal? Who knows - maybe Christmas is different in the Potter household.
Probably.
"Aw, come on, Trin, it's Christmas! Have some fun." He said, turning to face her.
"I don't like Christmas," my sister replied simply, going back to her book.I whacked James on the back to stop him from choking,
"What?! You don't like Christmas?" He managed after a while, an incredulous look on his face.
"Yeah ... I just don't see the point in it. So what?" She said, snapping her book shut and groaning in frustration.
"I hate Transfiguration." She added, throwing the book over her shoulder dramatically.
"Well you still manage to get perfect grades in it." Peter muttered from the ground below us.
"Aw, Pete, you're not that bad. And anyways, we can help you." I said, trying to raise the smaller boy's spirits.
He really was bad at Transfiguration. It must have been a seriously (pun intended) amusing scene to any spectators; James in a pair of reindeer antlers, a Christmas jumper, holding some tinsel and looking completely flabbergasted at Trinity, who was glaring at the small Christmas tree that some house elves had put in the common room as if it had committed murder. I was at next to my sister, her feet resting on my lap, smirking evilly at a prank idea I had written on the piece of parchment in my hand. Peter was sat in front of the sofa at my feet, his textbook and parchment before him, with a befuddled look on his pudgy face.
Remus, on the other hand, was nowhere to be seen, come to think of it, no one had seen him since last period yesterday, I wonder where he could've got to. I'll have to make a note of it and see if he's okay when I see him again.
I think Trinity likes him. She is always talking about him, and I've caught her looking at him every now and then. He likes her too: he admitted it. This is going to be very interesting.
Christmas at the Black house is a very ... one sided thing. Seeing as our parents hate us, Trinity and I always get the short end of the stick. I've taken it in my stride, and can still enjoy the event, but Trinity just can't bring herself to look at the holiday the same way.
James's P.O.V
How can someone not like Christmas? I mean, it's so fun and colourful. Christmas is my favourite time of year, I love picking out the perfect present for everyone, and adore the joyous look on their faces when they open it.
Trinity was still glaring at me, as I started throwing tinsel onto the mantelpiece, humming Jingle Bells merrily under my breath. It wasn't hard to tell that she really didn't like this particular holiday.

I was in the hospital wing, recovering from my transformation the night before, it had been horrible, a really bad one. This all makes me think back to the Defence Against the Dark Arts class we had yesterday.
::Flashback::
Professor Dorfin was talking about Auguries, and their uses among Aurors, when Genevieve Liskrate stuck her hand in the air pointedly.
"Yes Miss Liskrate," Professor Dorfin said pointing in the girl's direction.
"Professor - the other day a seventh year told me that on the last full moon they heard a wolfish howl, so I was wondering if there were any werewolves in the Forbidden Forest."
I tensed, terrified that this would be the end, and that I would have to leave all my friends behind and live in exile. I had no idea how many teachers were aware of my condition, but I had a feeling Professor Dorfin knew.He briefly glanced at me, his eyes flickering with indecision before he said,
"Miss Liskrate, I can assure you that, while there are magical creatures in the forest, there are no werewolves."
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, and sighed in relief. I was safe ... for now. I didn't know how long it would be, but I was pretty sure that it was only a matter of time before someone came to know what I was.::End flashback::
Sometimes I think that coming here was a mistake, and that everyone would have been happier if I had just stayed at home, with Mum and Dad, where less people were in danger. But then I remember all of my friends, and all the happy memories we have made despite not even being here a year, and I know that I wouldn't trade it for the world.
A/N - So hey. I've had a bit of writer's block recently, so I don't know how long it will be until the next update. Until then, go and read my blog - Diary of a Pathetic Fangirl - I really need some reads.
