Lily's P.O.V
As I followed the Gryffindor prefect up to the common room - which was hidden behind a portrait of a rather obese woman - I wondered whether me and Sev would still be friends, I mean, houses don't matter, right? We'll still be friends, won't we? I hope so.
The dormitory was super cozy, it had 5 four poster beds, all with red hangings for privacy and amazingly warm, thick sheets. I saw one of the beds had my trunk and things on it so I ran over and collapsed onto it. Hearing a small snigger behind me I turned and saw Trinity perched on her own bed. I threw a pillow at her and she threw it straight back, hitting me right in the face.
It wasn't long before we were engaged in a full-blown pillow fight, whacking eachother hard as we giggled hysterically.
"Some people have made themselves at home I see," a smug voice calmly said from behind me.
I felt my face turn bright red and quickly dropped my pillow. It was then that I saw three girls standing in the doorway. The one that had spoken had long, thick blonde hair and big, blue eyes. She was beautiful. The other two were both brunettes, one had darker brown hair in a pixie cut and the other had shoulder-length, mousy locks. They were both smiling nervously behind the blonde. Trinity was having none of this awkward silence:
"Trinity Black, nice to meet you." She said smartly, holding out her hand for the girl to shake.
She shook it quickly, before smiling and saying,
"Marlene Mckinnon, and this is Alice Lightwood and Mary McDonald," she replied, gesturing to each girl in turn.
The one with pixie cut - Alice - waved slightly and sat down on her bed, which was in between mine and Trinity's. Then I realised that I hadn't introduced myself yet.
"I'm Lily Evans," I said, bending down to pull my pyjamas out of my trunk. We engaged in an interesting conversation throughout the rest of the evening, some of it in hushed whispers and some in loud voices, over the giggles from the rest of the girls. Then, the one topic of conversation that you couldn't avoid in a room with a load of 11 year-old girls came up - boys. I thought it was a bit wierd that we were talking about the boys in our year when we'd only known them for a few hours, but it was fun to just let loose and talk.
"So, we should all go round the room and say who we either have a crush on, or think is cute. You have to say someone, no passes. Alice go first." Marlene commanded, pointing at Alice dramatically.
"Ummm, well, I thought that Longbottom was sort of sweet." She said shyly, turning slightly pink when she said his name.
Longbottom was a Hufflepuff who seemed nice, but from the image I got from him he was quite forgetful, I had heard him talking about writing to his mum to send on the things he had left behind.
"Good, Trinity?" Marlene said, looking at my new friend.
She looked at the floor and said,
"Lupin seemed sweet." Turning bright red when she said it.
"Awwww, Trinity's got a crush!" I said in a baby voice, and she glared at me. "Anyway, Mary?" I continued, as the tension in the air seemed to grow even more.
"That Ravenclaw boy, Corner is it?" She said simply, smiling at the thought of him.
Then Marlene stepped up,
"Well I am in love with Sirius Black!" She announced dramatically, and I turned to see Trinity pulling a face,
"Eww! Gross, Marlene!" She said, but I could tell she was also angry.
"Why?" She asked, looking up at Trinity curiously.
"Well, duh, that's my brother! Don't you even think about asking him out, not yet anyway."
"Oh," she said, and as I could see a fight coming on, I stepped up.
"Anyway, my turn! And I think Severus Snape is cute." I said, ending the conversation with finality. After that we carried on chatting with eachother, asking stupid questions and mucking about; it wasn't long before we were all sleeping soundly.
Remus's P.O.V
The trek up to the dorm and common room seemed endless, I was going to have to rely on my friends to remember it. Thinking about that, should I even have friends? If they found out about my lycanthropy, I would be dead. They would expose me to all of Hogwarts and I would have to leave, and that couldn't happen. I also definitely shouldn't have a crush on Trinity, I didn't, did I? No. Yes. I don't know! I should just put it to the back of my mind and forget about it.
When we arrived at the dorm I sat nervously on my plush, four-poster bed and waited for my new roommates to arrive. There were three other beds so I assumed that's how many people there were. They came in one by one and soon we were all gathered. Their names were James Potter, Sirius Black (both of which had been in the boat with me) and another boy called Peter Pettigrew.
We all talked and became fast friends, and, against my better judgement, decided to do everything together from then on. In some ways I was scared, but in some ways I thought it would be good to have friends to help me through my struggles. Not that they would find out, though. Would they? I would never tell them, but they might find out by themselves. That wouldn't be my fault, would it? No. Now I should just stop over-thinking everything and have a fun evening with my new friends.
As the evening turned to night, we all talked and just got to know eachother better. It was super cool, just relaxing and laughing with people who hopefully have my back for the rest of my life.
When we were all tired and lay down to go to sleep, I smiled to myself, this was my home, and I was happy.
A/N - A little bit of cheese at the end there, but, meh. I hope you enjoyed my chapter, and remember, I OWN NOTHING!
