Kiba
“A what? Are you guys even listening to yourselves? An infection?” I growled bitterly at Ikira and her patrol. Most of the patrol members bowed their heads submissively or in shame, but not surprisingly, Ikira stood her ground. “You think that we would actually be making this all up?”
We were in my den area, sheltered away from the rest of the pack. I didn’t want the rest of the pack to hear this before myself. But I was sure that rumors and gossip would go around since almost everyone had noticed the patrol returning with frighten looks on their faces.
I didn’t know how to take the news. The way in which they were describing the neighboring wolf pack was like a rabies. Even so, I thought that they would know how to handle the situation.
“And besides, the idea that they even used the name ‘Darcia’ should signal some red flags here.” Hige said while nudging closer to the beautiful black wolf Blue. Ever since they returned from the scene, he has never left the side of his mate. I understood his protectiveness for her, and even more in these days since she is heavy with pups.
But I would not take it, “Let’s not get right into assumptions. Maybe the female was just hallucinating and just randomly saying names.” I then noticed that Hige was slowly pulling away from Blue’s side and showed hostile aggravation.
“Are you serious? You’re just going to let this slide like its nothing! What’s wrong with you?” He shouted. From my side, Toboe stood on his feet to try and stop him, but I rose my arm and signaled him to not.
“Watch it, Hige. As an Alpha, you should know that you should not let your feelings define…” I was abruptly interrupted when he suddenly charged right to my faces and snapped his jaws in an attempted bite. Everyone in the room flinched, surprised by the sudden action.
“Don’t you tell me anything about what it is to be an Alpha! You’re not exactly the perfect leader either!” He snarled defiantly, barring his teeth and raising his haunches. I arose and stood right in front of him, softly growling and extending my chest.
“My decisions are made to only protect our pack! Any threat that rises should analyzed and carefully looked at,” I shouted, seeing that he was now slightly lowering his head, “and you of all people should understand that.”
Without response, Hige scoffed and exited the room. Blue came to my side and spoke in a gentle tone. “Kiba, I’m so sorry. He’s just been overbearing and overprotective since…”
I nodded my head, “It’s alright Blue, I know. He just has to know that just because you are with pups doesn’t give him the excuse to jump to conclusions.” Blue sighed and gave me a sincere smile before she also left. Finally, I looked over to the rest of the individuals inside.
“As for the rest of you, it is still unclear of what all of this means and why this is happening. But until we get more information about this, we should not worry ourselves. Now, let’s just all go back to what we were doing.” With that, everyone was dismissed and began to leave one by one.

The tar that slithered out of his mouth was just as dark as the night sky. He tried his best to get up on his feet, but every time he did the chocking feeling would return and he would hurl more of the disturbing blackness. He whimpered and held his stomach, knowing that he would be the next to go.
Unfortunately, he was the last of his pack to survive the ‘plague’ that he brought. The thought of all this being his fault brought him to his knees. How would he have known that the flower was poisoned and would spread to everyone in the pack? And why wasn’t he the first to go insane and die like the rest?
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry…” He wheezed out.
“And why should you be apologizing?” A voiced coldly cooed out. The young wolf gasped, turning his head around to see where the voice came from. He felt his organs twist inside as he saw the large dark figure standing in front of him.
It was a man, tall and powerful in stature and wore a long purple cloak. He showed no expression in his eyes, and yet he showed a sneering smirk on his face.
“Now, now there’s no need to fret. I bring no harm, well, to you that is.” The figure spoke, making his way closer to the startled youngster. His grin grew wider with every flinch that the wolf made.
“W-who are you?” The wolf asked as more tar like saliva dripped from his jaws. He tried to stand up once more, but to no avail. The tall man finally came right up to his face and delicately placed his fingers under the boy’s jaws, not even minding that the drool was sliding across his hands.
He then lightly chuckled, “My appearance may not be recognizable to you, but the mere saying of my name brings nightmares and fear. It is a name that could define ‘evil’ in itself, I presume.” He looked down to see that even in a state of utter pain, the young wolf showed a confused expression.
“I am Darcia, the third generation of the Darcia family of Nobles, and I have come back to life.” He shouted proudly, making the wolf yelp in horror and begin to frantically move his legs. “And thanks to you, my new pet.”
The sudden realization of what he had done made the youngster hysterical, “You were the violet flower, weren’t you? The mutated lunar flower?”
“Ah, yes,” Darcia growled, “for years I have been in that pathetic plant of a prison, awaiting the right time for a stupid living organism to devour me and make my plan come to life.” With his hand still under the jaw, he stroked the matted fur.
“Wolves, disgusting creatures that deserve no right to rule this world. Thinking that they have to purity and power to care for the delicate balance of life. Of Paradise!” He spat out. The wolf noticed that all around them, the trees and bushes were rustling with life.
Darcia suddenly took his hand around the boy’s neck, slowly picking him off of the ground and tightening his grip. Even with the infection still in his body, the young wolf tried his best to fight of the madman. But to no avail. Darcia cackled, widening his eyes in a psychotic matter.
“My army is ready, my pet. Knights in black armor prepared to kill every single wolf that lives. But, you are going to lead the virus around. My precious disease will… purify of the pest.”
The wolf struggle and snapped his jaws, trying to his very last breath to keep his sanity. But, little by little, he felt to poison clog the blood inside him. His mind felt like it didn’t belong there and his eyes burned with tears and fright. He wailed but could make a sound before he turned…
