"Okay so tell me what happened." Daisy demanded as we walked out of the changing rooms and onto the practice fields to cut through and go to the student parking lot.

Our school was pretty big, so our fields were big as well. The football field was on one side of our school, while the soccer field, lacrosse field, and baseball field was on the other side of campus along with the parking lot for students.

Since Daisy turned 16 in July, she already had her license and her parents bought her a Honda Accord. I still had another two months to go before I turned 16.

"Daisy, I've already told you twice." I complained. I told Daisy I would tell her what happened between Tyler and I after school. So I did. On our way to her cheerleading practice, I told her, twice actually.

Oh not to mention I also joined the cheerleading squad after all. I was tired of Daisy and coach both begging me. Coach also really needed another girl since Izzy broke her ankle and Lilliana had detention all week and couldn't make practice.

So that brings us to now; Daisy and I walking to her car, a cheerleading uniform in my hand, and Daisy begging me to repeat what I told her earlier.

"I know you've already told me twice, but it's just so, magical." She smiled. "Just think about it, Kaylie. Most popular senior guy in school asks you, Kaylie Bieber on a date?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked as I stopped walking causing her to stop as well and look at me.

"I mean, he's popular, you are sort of not. Kaylie, it's like your parent's story all over again!"

"So that means we'll end up miserable with each other? No thanks." I pushed past her and continued walking to her car.

"You two were meant to be! Did you even answer him when he asked you out?"

"Nope. I ran off as soon as he asked me. Well you know, soon after I embarrassed myself by stumbling over my words then just said 'bye' in a squeaky voice because of how dehydrated I felt."

"Kaylie, you need to go give him an answer!" Daisy pouted and stomped her foot.

"Daisy, this is my nonexistent relationship, not yours." I reminded.

When we reached the parking lot, I saw Hayden leaning against her car and we both stopped in our tracks and swallowed. Hayden made eye contact with me and leaned off her car, coming over towards us.

"What was Hayden doing leaning against my car? And why is he coming to us? Kaylie, see you should've answered Tyler!" Daisy rambled, ending with a slap to my arm.

I turned to her, trying to hush her and Hayden stood in front of us, clearing his throat.

"Kaylie, can I talk to you?" He asked, his deep voice serious. He turned to Daisy then turned back to me. "Privately." He added.

"Bye." Daisy quickly said and ran off to her car the best she could in her heels. I couldn't believe she just bailed on me like that? To leave me to get pummeled?

"I'm sorry I didn't answer Tyler right away when he asked me out. I swear I'll give him an answer the next time I see him." I babbled on and Hayden looked at me confused.

     "What are you talking about?"

"You're mad at me because I made your best friend look like a fool when he asked me out. I literally ran off without giving him an answer." I said in a 'duh' tone.
