Painting a Sunset

A blank white canvas sits before me.
Infinite possibilities, each one beautiful in its own unique way.
I breathe, lift my brush of time and begin my nights work.
Fire and gold erupt from under my touch, speckled with the palest of pink diamonds.
Blending together,
A pinch of smoke, a splash of purity peeking though
A few black lines give it life.
And now with just a touch of Mahican, a silver lining emerges
The masterpiece of today is now complete.
For all who wish to see,
For you there is no charge.
Simply set foot outside on the porch,
And dare to look up towards to stars
