The Plane

Chapter 2: The Plane

"I am not helping you break into the military base." Shawn objected.

It was half past twelve. Shawn, Raven, Rose, Katherine, and I were all standing outside the fence that surrounded the base. Shawn and Raven, their ACUs, were the only ones no wearing all black.

"Shawn, please. This is Bo we're talking about. She'd do the same thing for us. It's not like we're asking you to commit murder." I pleaded.

"No, but you're pretty much asking us to commit treason!" Raven exclaimed.

"Keep your voices down or we're going to get caught." Rose harshly whispered.

I turned so that I was looking at Rose and Shawn at once. "You two don't have to help, Rose, Katherine, and I got this. So, you just go back home and forget all this ever happened."

Shawn sighed, "No, we're staying. But I have a question."

"Shoot," I said, immediately regretting my poor choice of words.

"How do you plan on breaking into a highly guarded military base and stealing a two million dollar plane that someone always guards?"

I grabbed some wire cutter out of the bag I had slung over my shoulder, "We use these."

It took a few minutes to cut open the fence without making any noise.

Behind us was a desert, the patrols barely watched this section; they figured no one would be stupid enough to walk through the desert. They were wrong.

"Shawn, Raven, y'all lead the way." I say crawling through fence first.

Raven and Shawn lead us through the base. After a few minutes we see the planes, we were almost to them when the alarm went off. All around us people ran out of buildings, they took notice of us and ran after us. We dodged left and right, barely making it past them.(How five twenty-something year olds managed to get past all the marines, I have no idea.)

We made it to the runway, luckily there was already a big plane sitting there. We opend the door, Shawn, Raven, Katherine, and Rose ran to the back, while I ran to the cockpit. What I found there, no one could have guessed.

"Shawn!" I yelled looking at the poilets chair.

Shawn ran into the little room, he looked around until his eyes layed upon Creepy Steve.

"Steve, what are you doing here?!" Shawn screamed.

Steve smiled, kicked up his feet and said, "You guys didn't know I was in the airforce?"

Suddenly I hear gunshots. Kaherine ran into the room, "Uh, guys, we need to leave now. They're starting to shoot at us," her eyes flicked to Steve, "and why is he here?"

"No clue." I yanked up Steve and shoved him into the co-poilet's chair. I sat down in the poilet's chair and started pushing buttons, turning nobs, and flipping switches just like my instructor taught me. The plane started to move forward, picking up more and more speed, until I pulled back on the yoke( the control that steers the plane). Then the plane started to rise up in the air. Katherine and Shawn had already went and sat down with Raven and Rose in the back.

The plane took off a little rough but I managed to straighten it up. I put on my head set and announced that we were on our way to Baghdad. Creepy Steve was still sitting next to me.

"Steve, why didn't you ever tell us that you were in the airforce?"

Steve grabbed a bag of chips and started stuffing his mouth, "It's complicated," he said between bites.
