The Capture

Chapter 4: The Capture

I took a step closer to the man, We're not going anywhere with you."

He grinned, "Oh, you don't have a choice. If you want to find your friend before she doesn't you'll come with me."

Raven stepped up next to me, "We're not going. Its six against one. We're leaving."

We turn to leave when the man said, "Not so fast. You didn't honestly think I came alone did you?"

Suddenly more men step out of the trees, there were about ten of them.

"Now, you'll either come the hard way or the easy way. Your choice." said the man.

I glanced at the eleven men, and then looked at my friends. I nodded to Raven, in response she nodded back. Raven motioned to Rose, Rose tensed waiting.

I snapped my fingers and Raven launched herself at two of the closet men. She immediately started punching and kicking while Rose dodged attacks from two guys. Katherine began speaking to a group of four guys. Shawn was holding off two guys as well. That left me and the leader of the ten men. I stared at him, and he stared back. Quickly he pulled out a gun and started shooting at me. I dodged all the bullets except the one that grazed my arm. When he was reloading I took the chance to attack. I managed to connect my fist to his face and then kick him in the stomach, he fell back onto the ground. I turned around to check on my friends only to find that the men had tasers. Shawn and Katherine were already lying on the ground unconscious. Rose was running out of steam, while Raven had taken down three guys and looking for her next victim. One of the men came up behind her and tasered her till she crumbled to the ground. A few seconds later Rose went down. I turned back to he man I was fighting.

He had stood and was pointing a gun at me. I stared down the barrel of the gun into his cold dark eyes, "Are you going to shoot me?"

Keeping the gun pointed at me he said, "Sadly, I can't. My boss want you alive."

"What are you going to do with us?" I ask looking around and just noticing that Steve is no where to be seen.

The man started slowly walking around me clockwise. "First, I'm going to take you and your friends to a secret facility. Then you're going to be tortured, your abilities tested. Finally, after unendurable training, you're going to work for the military and be their secret weapon. Doesn't that sound like fun!" He said that last part with a smile. I heard someone come up behind me, before I could react they had shoved a taser into my side. The shock spread all through my body. Black spots danced in my vision, I felt another shock again and again until my legs gave out. The last thing I saw was the man with the gun laughing.

"Hazen, Hazen. Wake up," I hear awaking me from the inky blackness. I open my eyes to find Katherine, Shawn, Raven, Rose, and Bo huddled over top of me. Wait.....It took my brain a few seconds to process what I was looking at. Suddenly it clicks, my eyes widen and I jump up.

"OH MY GOSH, BO! YOU'RE ALIVE!" I screamed excitedly. I looked at Bo, and noticed that she was covered in blood and her clothes were ripped and also covered in blood.

"Bo, what happened to you?" I ask.

Bo shifts uncomfortably on her feet, "It's a long story, lets just say I was kidnapped and trapped."

I look around the dark and damp room, until my eyes rest upon a man lying on the ground. He was unconscious or maybe even dead.

"That's General Smith, he's the one that kidnapped me." Bo said glaring at Smith.

I walked over to Smith and checked his pulse. He was still alive. That's good.

"We need Smith alive, he can lead us to whoever is running this whole thing." I said while walking around the entire room. "Is the door locked or can we walk straight out?"

"Door's locked, they put a lot of bolts on it. I could hear them locking it every time they left me in here." Bo said watching Smith like a hawk.

I searched the entire room for something, anything but only came up empty-handed. "There has to be a way out of here." I yelled desperately.

Instantly we could hear the door unlocking. Someone was coming in. The six of us tensed, waiting to attack the person on the other side. The door creaked open and sliding in was Steve. He quickly shut the door and put a finger to his lips telling us to be quiet. We heard heavy footsteps run down the hall, it sounded like there were two of them.

Steve smiled a toothy grin, "Did ya miss me?"

I put my hands on my hips, "Where the heck have you been?" I whispered harshly.

"Sorry, I had some trouble finding the room. I ran into some other people, you guys should meet them."

"Steve, this is no time to be socializing!"

"But they have-" Steve began but was cut off by screaming and running. We all crouched and waited for the noise to die down. Steve peeked into the hallway, he motioned for us to come closer. When the hall was clear we exited the room and turned left. Raven and Shawn were dragging Smith in between them. The hallway was dark, you could barely see ten feet in front of you. Steve is leading us down the hall, we made another left and ran into a group of people. There were six of them, five guys and one girl. A fist came flying out of nowhere, Raven grabbed the fist and shoved it back to the owner. There was a gasp, and then Steve said, "Hey, guys these are the other people I was telling you about. That's Harry, Ryan, Jason, Cainen, Benedict, and Lucy."

I interjected, "Steve, it's nice to meet these people but we've really got to get out of here!"

All of the sudden I hear a bang. A bullet whizzes past my head and into the center of Steve's chest. Blood spraying all over my face and shirt.
