'Dua Lipa as Jade Anderson'
Blithe's POV
This week of school has been hell, especially since Jade had decided to ignore me. Why? I have no idea and hell if I knew. That girl had my mind in complete and utter chaos, ever since the day she got her schedule changed.
Each time I walked towards her she would walk the other way and when I tried speaking to her she would ignore me and talk to Alice instead, like if I wasn't even there! I'm kinda getting sick of it to be honest.
Oh and did I mention she wouldn't even talk to me on the bus. I mean we sit right next to each other but even then its impossible.
"So I hear your lover is ignoring you." I turn to see Kate frowning, both her arms crossed over her chest. She's wearing a nice light blue dress with a white cardigan, along with some white flats and her blonde hair up in a neat bun, bookbag slung over her left shoulder.
"She is not my girlfriend." I defend. She scoffs indignantly in response, getting closer and invading my personal space.
"Yeah okay but you still like her." She whispers into my ear. "You love her, you wanna kiss her, you wann-"
Ever since I told her about my crush on Jade, Kate has made it her life's mission to embarrass me whenever she got the chonce.
"Okay, okay. Jeez. You're so embarrassing." I push her away blushing like a tomato. Kate and I had spent a lot of time together, after Jade decided to ignore my very existence. Shocking, I know.
"Come on." Kate says and then proceeds to pull me up the stairs and towards the-
"What are we doing at the library." I ask as we go through the doors.
"To talk"
"TALK. In the library, seriously." I say perplexed, waving my arms in the air like a mad man. People give me weird looks and I immediately blush and hide behind Kate.
You see, I'm a very shy person. Doing things like this was more of Jade's thing, while I on the other hand, was more recluse.
And of course my mind goes back to thinking about Jade, obsessive much? If she's going to ignore me and be unreasonable then two can play at that game.
Kate ignores my comment and walks to the non-fiction isle that happens to be conveniently deserted. She sits on the floor, patting the spot next to her. I reluctantly follow suit and sit beside her.
"So I was thinking." she starts and I glance at her. "You should make Jade fall head over heals for you. You know, make her love you back and stuff." I actually choke on air.
"A-are you crazy! We're not in some rom-com movie, where she loves me back and we live happily ever after!" I stutter, looking at her with wide eyes.
"Oh yeah I kinda forgot. You're a prude." She muses, I respond by giving the most hateful glare known to man. Enjoying when she squirms under my gaze.
"She's straighter than a damn pole." I state matter of factly, pulling my knees to my chest and laying my head on them. "She's probably the straightest person I know." I mutter sadly.
"Well, some poles can be bent or you know, something like that." She says with a warm smile, patting my head in what I assume she must think is comforting. The gesture makes me feel like a dog but I say nothing and let her pat my head.
At least she's trying.
"Yeah. Well not a pole like Jade." I mutter bitterly, swatting her hand away after a while of awkward patting. Why couldn't I fall for a guy like any other normal girl.
