Shattered - Kim Taehyung x Reader [Best Friends]

Chapter 4

Y/N P.O.V

It's been a week since the last time I spoke or saw Tae and none of the boys have texted me like they used to. So, that's it. The 18 year friendship I had and believed was so solid, nothing could tear it apart, had ended. The past week I stayed in my room and cried, it was the only thing I could do after being so heartbroken, the only person I had was my mom and Areum. My mom knew about the whole ordeal and let me be a shut in for a week or two. I was lying in bed watching Nemo because I had nothing better to do, until my phone flashed. It was a text. From Yoongi?

Yoongi: Hey.. Y/N.. You okay?

I really didn't feel like responding to any of the members after a week of not speaking to me, but I decided to at least give him a response.

Y/N: Yea. I'm fine. May I help you?

It took a couple of minutes to respond, and by a couple of minutes I mean 30 minutes in which I had time to get dressed and have breakfast. He must've been busy with Taehyung and the boys. 

Yoongi: Yea, I wanted to ask if you wanted to meet up? Your favorite place at 1pm

I smiled knowing where he meant and sent him a quick text agreeing. It was already 12:45 which meant I had 15 minutes to get there. Thankfully it was only 10 minutes away, walking. I made sure to have my phone charged up, and had my jacket before walking out the door; it was a nice day, the sun was shining and there were no clouds in sight. The little hidden coffee shop came into sight as I turned the corner from my neighbor hood; it had small white tables on the outside and they had repainted the walls outside to a light pink colour. I was here only 2 weeks ago and they had made a few changes in those 2 weeks. 
I walked into the  cafe and saw Yoongi, Jimin and Jin sitting together in the corner. Jin spotted me first and waved me over, while smiling. I joined them at the table and greeted them quietly; I still wasn't over what happened the week before but I wanted to give them a chance, I could feel their eyes staring into my soul, until I felt a pair of hands on mine. I looked up at whoever was holding my hand, and found Jimin smiling at me.

"So how have you been Y/N" Jin started. I knew they were trying to lift the tense atmosphere but I wasn't really buying it.

"You're acting as if you didn't see hear what happened last week." I snapped at him. He jumped back slightly, I don't blame them; I've never been the type to be mean and sassy to people. They all sighed and looked at each other.

"I know you want answers.. It's best if you don't know why Taehyung said what he said, but he still cares for you deeply. We want you to know that all the other guys still care for you and you can still rely and talk to us, you can still hang out with us; that will never change Y/N." Yoongi stated. I scoffed at his comment.

"I don't know if you know what he said but Taehyung completely gave up on our friendship. I love him deeply and if it makes him happy to be with that Jessica girl then so be it; I won't interfere. Also I wasn't going to stop hanging out with you guys, I still obviously care for you all. I'm just mad. That's all." They grinned at me and high fived me. I jumped up from my seat and clapped my hands together signalling I was done  there.
"I'm going to head home, maybe tomorrow I will hang out with you boys but for now I need to rest." They nodded and smiled and walked out of the cafe.
I had decided to stay behind and order a coffee and rest in the little cafe and read a book that Areum had given me to pass time while I was away from school. 30 minutes had passed and no one had walked in yet, the bell rang; notifying workers that a customer had walked in. I decided to be foolish and look up to see who walked in and laid my eyes on Kim Taehyung and Jessica. Taehyung decided to take Jessica to my favorite place, knowing well that I loved this place and always came to visit the workers and say hello. Taehyung turned to the section I was sitting at and looked straight at me; his eyes widening and coughing. My eyes started to tear up again, at the thought of the last words he said to me. He held Jessica's hand and sat at the opposite table across from me. I tried to act as if I didn't care, but I couldn't help but look at them. They were laughing, cuddling and kissing and my heart shattered, if that was even possible at the state it was left in by Tae. I looked up at caught Taehyung staring intently at me, before quickly looking away to Jessica. Jessica turned around to look at me and eyed me from top to bottom while smirking, she looked at me in the eyes, laughed and then turned around. I could see Taehyung rubbing the back of his neck nervously, then kissing her cheek.

I stood up, grabbed my things and stormed out of the cafe. It was supposed to be my favorite place, but it was ruined by her. I can't stand her. I walked home and jumped onto my bed, forcing myself to sleep.
