Chapter 9

English was my last class and Tae and I were sitting beside each other laughing at our corny jokes. It was this time spent that I missed about him, I was so close to losing Tae to Jessica. Too close for comfort. We were interrupted by the teacher coughing to catch our attention and interrupting our nostalgic moment of what we were like when we were kids together.  It gave me such a nice feeling speaking to Tae about our youth.
"Class we are going to be doing a protect and each of you will have a partner. Don't bother picking. I've already chosen for you." She gave us a wicked smile at the class, before putting a list of partners up at the front of the class. I sprinted to check who I was with. Thankfully I was with Tae and Jessica was with Jungkook. That meant she would be far away from Taehyung for a short period of time.
I turned to look at Tae, who was speaking with Jessica. She probably thought she was with Tae. But I'm here to burst her bubble.

"Tae! We're partners for the project!" I grinned at him. He looked up and grinned at me too, my heart fluttered slightly just by looking at his smile. Jessica, didn't look too amused and glared at me as I ran up to them. I smirked at her knowing it would annoy her.

"That's great! Looks like I'll be coming over today then. Hope you have nothing planned." He winked at me. I smiled and nodded, I was excited to have him come over. It would be the only proper time where we could be alone together.

TIME SKIP
After english ended Tae and I walked towards our lockers and grabbed our stuff and made our way to the exit. Jessica had suddenly come up from no where and jumped on to Tae. Could she be any more of an attention seeker? The entire walk to the edit was Jessica throwing herself on to Tae and trying to have him ignore me. It didn't work and I could tell minute by minute she was getting more pissed off.  When we reached the exit, Tae pushed Jess off him and we got into the car together and drove towards my house. The car ride was quiet until I played music. My fav song of BTS played and I started singing along. Tae laughed as I sang along to his song when I suddenly shouted the lyrics
"KISS ME!" Everything went quiet again, Tae stopped laughing and looked at me silently while I facepalmed at my stupidity.

"Okay." Was the only thing I hear him say.  I froze and turned to look at him, my eyes wide open. I was too stunned to say anything and Tae's face was turning red by the second.

"Huh?!" I squealed. He looked at me surprised and then started laughing again. I was confused as he turned to look at the road again.

"Nothing, I was just kidding." He muttered. I felt my heart break a bit, I had slight hope that he somewhere felt something towards me the way I did. The rest of the car ride was quiet and as soon as we got to my house I jumped out of the car and ran towards my door. Tae knew how to get in anyway so I didn't have to wait for him. I was way too embarrassed to face him.
This was going to be a long night.
