Yeah, this was one of my dreams so be prepared d's s for depressing words to fill that noggin I yours from this one shot.
Damian squeezed your hand tighter. You looked up at him through his mask. His brothers had chased after the Joker goons. You don't know how or what had happened, by you knew that this might was gonna be your last. Damian had tears threatening to spill through his mask. You looked up at him giving him a reasurring smile.
"Damie, don't forget me okay?" You said, your voice raspy.
"No! Don't say that, we're gonna get you fixed! You're gonna be with me forever!" He shouted. You reached up and caressed his tear stained cheek weakly. You grasped the edge of his mask and pulls it off.
"I need to see your eyes one last time," you whispered. Damian leaned into your hand as he held it.
"No! Grayson will be here! Stay with me Y/N! Dont leave! You can't!" He whispered. You shook your head.
"Damian, we both know that I'm not gonna make it, just don't forget me okay?" Damian whimpered. You felt tears slide down your cheeks. Damian had pulled off your mask just a minute ago.
"Y/N, you have to stay. You can't go...please...dont't go. I need you, we need you..." he looked at you with the amazing emerald eyes that you fell in love with.
"Damian, I have to. I won't make it. Just make sure everybody gets home safe...please. It's all part of life, you're an adult, you can do this..." You whispered to him. He looked at you, anger taking place for the sadness.
"Even if I was still a child, I would act this way. Y/N, you're my best friend, my love, my life, my everything. You can tell me to be strong, but I'll let you know, I have been through a lot of shit, but This? This is the worst thing I could ever imagine. You are my world. I can't do anything without you, hell, I can't even tie a ribbon correctly. You can fight this. Just please....fight this...fight this for me, for the family..." Damian looked at you tears fall in even faster than before. You let out a choked sob. His gaze never left yours.
"Damian, I love you. You can go on...I know you can. I know it's hard, but you are stronger than you think." You pushed through the pain and higher him tightly. "I love you Damian. Never forget that." Damian grasped you tightly back. It was only after your second tear left your eyes was when he felt your grip go loose.
"Y/N? Y/N?! Y/N! No, no, no, no! Y/N! Come back! I need you! Allison needs you! Come back!" He held your body tightly against his own. Dick, Jason and Tim had arrived shortly after you had left the world. Dick was crying, Jason had his jaw clenched and couldn't look at the sight of his sister and Tim was speechless. "Y/N! PLEASE COME BACK! please...please come back...I love you."
"Damian, she's gone. There was nothing we could do...she fought her last breath," Dick said, his voice just above a whisper. Damian turned to him and laid you on the ground.
"We can bring her back, the Lazarus Pit. It brought Jason back, it can bring her back!" Damian lifted you up, an arm behind your back and the other under your knees. He started towards the batwing. Jason stopped him with a hand on his shoulder. Jason's head was down.
"Damian, she isn't gonna be able to come back. There is too much damage done, I'm sorry," Jason said. He looked at his close friend as tears fell. "The only thing we can do is go back home and make sure Allison is safe. She would want her daughter to be safe." Damian didn't do anything but nod.
Your funeral as one of which a a filled with sadness, happiness, anger and sorrow. People dressed in the colors of the rainbow and stood in order just as you had asked. You first met Damian that way.
"Daddy, when is mommy coming home?" Allison, yours and Damian's 4 year old daughter, Damian glanced down and picked up his daughter that had y/e/c eyes.
"Mommy is going to be gone for a while. She won't be coming back. We just need to be happy for now, okay?"
"Okay. But I miss her. I want her back!" Allison announced. All eyes turned to the little girl. Damian couldn't say anything. He handed his daughter over to Jason and left the grounds. He went to your memorial in the cave and stood there just looking at the hologram.
"She misses you. I hope you're happy. I just wish you were here. She misses you a lot. As a matter of fact, everybody misses you. I've been trying to stay strong like you wanted, by it's too hard." Damian let a year roll down his cheek. "Everybody has been concerned. I've been trying to find a way to bring you back, but even Zatanna says that it's impossible. Jon misses you too, even though you two absolutely despised each other. I know that being your husband is hard but I can't imagine what Jason goes through. He's your brother. I mean, you were just like him, but I can't- I can't- I can't do this anymore. Allison keeps asking about you and it takes everything to not cry in front of her. I just can't seem to tell her about how you died. I mean, not even the doctors could tell us, but I just want to talk to you, to see you, to feel you once more. I still love you so damn much. I told myself to not get involved with other people because they would get hurt. I always told myself that I only loved you and that no harm could come of it. I remember the day we met like it happened a minute ago. You would be happy to see that everyone dressed in the colors of the rainbow as you requested. They even stood in order from red to purple. They were so sad. The only person who was smiling was Alllison and that's because she had no idea what was going on. At one point, I had to remove her from the scene because she tried to open the casket.
I love you so much. I haven't been with another woman because I know that no one could ever match you. I could never love anyone more than I still love you."
Damian hears little footsteps and turned to see Allison with her Uncle Jason trailing behind her.
"What is she doing down here?! I had specific orders to see that she is never to know about this!" Allison tugged at Damian's pant leg. He looked down at her and his eyes softened at the sight, she looked exactly like you. She had your hair, eyes, nose, everything. The only thing that was missing was your personality which was replaced by Damian's.
"Is that mommy?" Allison asked as she pointed at the hologram that flickered between you in civilian clothes and you in your uniform. Damian sighed and looked at Jason. Jason only nodded his head signalling that it was not the time.
"You'll find out soon, but not now, you just have to be patient okay. Now, why dont you go and play with Conner and Dixie. Allison instantly yelled and ran to play with her fellow 4 year olds.
"We're gonna have to tell her sometime," Jason said as he looked at your hologram.
"I know, I just want to wait I until she's older, when she can understand everything. Plus, I dont want her thinking that she can go ahead and take the mantle of being Mocking Jay. I just-"
"Want her to be safe," Jason finished. "Not a bad idea, but for now, we can remember Y/N as a hero, my beloved annoying little sister, and your amazing annoying wife. Cheers?" Jason held out a beer for Damian to take. He took it and clashed it together with Jason's bottle.
"Cheers," Damian agreed.
Yeah, I know what you're thinking, another author's note? Yeah, but I was thinking that I could do a part two when Damian tells Allison everything? How does that sound?
