It all started with a staff party..

In organisation for a good hassle free night where I could get loose and not have to worry about getting home after I arranged to stay at my friends which was close to the venue. The plan was, as a group get there, have a good night then as a group get back to hers and pass out. For them, the plan went well. For me.. not so.

The day of started off disorganised.. I was a little rushed in getting my stuff together to get to my friends and get ready. That day I had started work at 5:30am so I’d been awake since 4am. My minds pre-plan was to get through work, finish at 11:30am, head to the gym and power through a 30min cardio run, go home and nap and then grab all my stuff together and head off to get ready. On my 10min break during my shift I also decided to ring the doctors and book a doctors appointment for approximately 2pm. That way I could still get through everything, nap, then wake up for the doctors and go from there.

The day plan was hectic..

Plans always create room for failure.

The doctors could only fit me in for a 2:30 appointment. Later then I wanted, but I’d been in some serious pain so I needed it and booked it.

11:30 came and work got busy. Can you stay till 12? Umm.. well I guess...

Not part of the plan.

Now a logic person would then realise the best way to relieve rushing and stress would be to cancel the cardio plan. Not this stubborn person.

So 12 came, I went to the gym and ran just under 5km. Feeling good I walked out, went home and attempted that nap. Knowing I had to be up soon it just wasn’t going to happen. At 2pm I gave up, started prepping some stuff I needed to grab when I got back from the doctors and headed to the appointment. Now I was very happy with my punctuality! The doctors however, have their own time schedule.  10 mins late I finally got in, was seen to and walked out the building at 3pm. Back to mine to rush around and grab everything I would need. Now if I was just heading to the work party and knew exactly what I wanted to wear, this all up would have taken a maximum of 20 mins. I had no idea what to wear though, was staying over at someone’s for the night, was planning on a gym visit the next day and then had a pool party straight after that. So I was grabbing everything for all of that! Over an hour later... done!

I got to my friends and so started the choosing outfits, getting ready, making sure we have everything and all that jazz. Whilst getting ready I don’t know how many alcoholic beverages they had, but I only had one and it was just before we left. We were finally all ready and had organised how we were getting there. We left and arrived at the venue not long after. And so started the night of free alcohol (beer, wine or champagne), mixing and mingling with the colleagues, going on a few of the attractions at the theme park it was being held at that were open, and for most of us probably making some very funny memories to laugh about later.

My memory has never been my strongest feature.. and this is where it started to go hazy.
