Damage

Considering the amount of time I had spent in the hospital so far waiting and what not, I was surprised at how fast I received my CT scans results. One minute I was setting up for the long haul, the next the doctor was back. I didn’t know what to expect really I just knew it wasn’t ‘nothing’.. I couldnt walk! He didn’t beat around the bush either.

The pain in my left abdomen was no doubt muscle strainage and there was nothing that could be done about that; but rest. The pain in my lower back though was more serious. As it turned out there was a small fracture in the left of my sacrum. Fortunately for me, the fracture wasn’t massive. The good news was there was no operation required. To heal my fractured pelvis it would take time, persistence and how high my pain tolerance level was. Getting back up, moving and functioning to a rasonable limit I could bare, would only come down to me and how fast I could heal my body.

Happy no operation was required would be an understatement... I was stoked! One less thing to worry about and less time in the long run to heal! I’m not one to brag either, but I have to say I’m pretty tough. Pain tolerance to me is almost nothing. If something needs doing I can mind over matter it and get through it. I wouldn’t over push myself, but I would battle this out as quick as possible. I had to! Everything in my life was done by me so the longer I was out of action the more I'd struggle!

Yes this was going to be hard, but maybe it wouldn’t be too bad after all..

So the major damage was a fractured pelvis.. was there anything else?
