Chapter 4: The Dream

That night I had a weird dream.
I was on my bed and suddenly a girl was sitting next to me. She had long wavy red hair, a green and yellow suit on, and had a beautiful smile.
"I know what your thinking" she said.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Me? I am the legendary Phoenix." She replied opening her hand.
There was something orange and swirly in her hand, could it be, yes it was, it was fire! Then she opened the other hand was something purple, I didn't know what it was.
Then she effortlessly flew up to the ceiling. A trail of fire followed her from behind. I gasped as I saw this.
"Why are you here, Phoenix?" I asked.
"You have special powers, Annie. When you fell into the lake, extraordinary stuff are going to happen. Hayley, too. Hayley will have extraordinary stuff happen, too. You two will have a quarrel, your powers will be involved in it too. Do not let that happen. Do not break your friendship." She replied.
"Wait. What powers?" I asked.
"You will be like me. You will be able to read people's minds, you will be able to make fire, you will be able lift objects with your mind, you will have telekinesis, you will be able to make a protective shield around you, you will be able to fly, and most important of all, you will be kind. Anger is an enemy to kindness, so don't get mad."
"But what about Hayley?" I asked.
"She will have be able to connect magnetic forces, she will be able to hover, she will be able to leverage, and she will be able to change the gravity everywhere. That is very dangerous, don't let that happen." She replied.
"What am I supposed to do with my powers?" I asked.
"Stop evil from taking over this world. Listen, Annie, I can't stay long..." She said, fading away.
"Wait!" I yelled. "What do I do if I'm in huge trouble?"
"I will be with you. Goodbye, Annie." She said. Suddenly, where she was sitting, a burst of flames blew and she was gone.
Then I woke up.
"Haha, funny dream." I said to myself.
