Chapter 11: Burning House

"Hayley!" I screamed. "We have to get over there!" I grabbed Hayley's hand and we both flew over to our house.
"Annie! Go in there with your shield and get them out!" Hayley said.
"Right." I replied. I tuned my shield on and ran into the house. I grabbed Mommy and Daddy and put them out.
Caleb! I thought. I had forgotten about Caleb. I rushed to the basement before it was too late.
Caleb's body was limp and on the floor, surrounded by fire.
"Caleb!" I screamed.
I went into the fire and dragged Caleb out of the house. I got everyone out safely. I hope.
"Mommy! Daddy!" I screamed. By now the fire department was here.
"Caleb!" I screamed with terror. "Help me with Caleb!"
We checked for  heartbeat or a pulse. There was none.
I teardrop spilled from my cheek because we knew what he was.
He was dead.
