Letter Four

IT IS I.  I AM BACK. So I'm updating this again because I GOT TO 100 FOLLOWERS YES! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE Thanks you poptarts, love ya!

(Cas' POV)

After the "incident," and by incident I mean my best friend totally humiliating the captain of the football team, the rest of the day was pretty uneventful.

I was saying goodbye to Charlie in the parking lot before I started my walk home, when she left I turned around to find Dean Winchester.

"Ready to go, Cas?"

I tilted my head to the side, "Go? Go where?"

Dean chuckled and wrapped an arm around my shoulder, steering me towards his car.

"I'm driving you home, you beautiful idiot," he said, shaking his head. I felt my cheeks heat up as he said this. God dammit, could I for once in my life be cool?

Dean plopped me in the front seat of his car and waved to his brother, whose bitchface was so hardcore, I thought he'd get stuck like that.

Sam climbed into the backseat and mumbled a "hey Cas" to me before glaring at Dean again.

I sensed some family drama, so I shut my trap for once. Dean, who was completely ignoring Sam, turned on the radio and started blasting some horrendous music. It was literally just screaming!

"DEAN! Turn that crap down!" Shouted Sam over the "music."

"You know you love it, Sammy," Dean said as he pulled out of the parking lot.

The rest of the drive was quiet, apart from the occasional yell or electric guitar screech.

When Dean dropped me off I thanked him for the ride and said goodbye to Sam, who halfheartedly waved at me.

I checked the mail before I went inside. I got another letter!

Oh, and the cougar was back, and now she's beckoning me forward with her long, intricately detailed nail. Nope, I'm out.

I unlocked the front door and slammed it shut as soon as I got inside. My mother was (blessedly) not home yet.

I sprinted up the stairs, discarding my bag somewhere near the desk, before jumping onto my bed and tearing open the envelope.

Dear Cas,

How's life? I know you can't answer but it's polite to ask people how they are doing apparently.

You're probably wondering why Sam and Dean seem to be fighting.

Well it's about their mom, she just recently came back into their lives, and she's just left again.

Dean wants nothing to do with her now, but Sammy still wants to know his mom. They had a big fight about it earlier.

She's bad news Dean. A total bitch, actually. She seems to put everything in front of her two sons.

Anyway, I need you to be someone that Dean can talk to. Don't show that you what's going on but just let him know you're someone he can talk to.

You gotta help him convince Sammy to leave it be. It'll be more painful for them if she stays in their lives.

Help your future family, Cas.

Also, John may not like you at first because the last person Dean loved, broke his heart. So he's a bit weary of everyone. Don't worry, he'll warm up to you. Two years ago he said I was his favorite son :)

P.s You can't call Sam "Sammy" because 'only his brother is allowed to call him that.' When we got married Sam said I could call him Sammy because, in his words, "We're brothers now." It's like the ultimate Sam Winchester acceptance.

I folded the letter and hid it with the rest. I felt badly for Sam and Dean, and I thought my mother was bad.

At least she wants what's best for me, in her own way.

From now on, I vow to never complain about my mother again.

I heard the front door open and close followed by a, "Castiel! Are you praying? You need to pray at least four hours a day to keep away the disease!"

Scratch that, she's a bitch. Wait! I just cussed! Darn it, future me was rubbing off on me.

Well we're past the looking glass already. Anyway, if my mom's a bitch, there's gotta be a whole new word for Sam and Dean's mom.

Assbutt! That's it. Whatever her name is Winchester is an assbutt.

Man, I need to write that one down, that was a good one.
