Tyler's POV *before Josh walks in*

Doctors have been surrounding my sister for hours like a pack of vultures. I find myself to be cracking my fingers every two minutes as an anxiety tactic. The *click-click* of each finger begins to take my mind off the fact that my sister may or may not die tonight.

I feel myself jolt out of a sleep that felt like two seconds. I glance at the clock. 3:15 a.m. A deep sigh comes out of my mouth as I see the chances of Madison surviving fade away.

I get up to stretch for a second when I see Madison's main doctor walking towards me. "Tyler," he says. "Your sister is slowly recovering. She was a fighter during the surgery and we managed to remove the bullet. If you'd like you could go in and see her". Without a doubt, I thank him and rush to her room. Slowly opening the door with a smile I didn't try hiding, I see my sister asleep in her bed. I'd hug her but I don't want to wake her.

I begin to call Josh to tell him the good news when I feel a ice cold hand grab my wrist. It's Madison. I look at her and she is absolutely motionless. I begin to say her name when her eyes start to roll back, only showing white. Her body loses total control and she starts shaking. She's having a seizure. No. No no no no. I pry her hand off my wrist and shout for a nurse.

Four nurses flood into my sister's room and manage to sedate her. She goes back to sleep and I step out to call Josh. It rings twice and he picks up. "T-tyler?", he says confused. "Seriously man it's nearly 4 a.m. What could you possibly need from me at 3:49 in the morning" I explain to him that Madison is out of surgery and ask him to come to the hospital.

It's roughly 4 a.m. , I'm nearly asleep until I hear a knock at the door. I open it and see Josh with bed head. I rush him out of the room and talk to him extremely fast. Josh tries calming me down and asks what the hell is going on.  I finally take a breath and say "That is not my sister. I can see it in her eyes Josh. She's gone."

Josh is still absolutely confused and attempts to open the door to see for himself but I don't let him. "You don't understand. What's in there is scary. She's not herself. Something is definitely wrong," I say with certainty.
