Chapter 23

Chpater 23

"GABEEEE!!!!! YOU GOT A LETTER!" Someone yelled from down stairs. I groaned and pulled my pillow over my head. "GABE!" The same person yelled from the door.

"Gabbie is not available right now. Leave a message after the beep. Beeeeeppppp." I grumbled, hoping they would go away. 

"You got a letter." I felt someone putting something on my stomach. I slowly pulled the pillow off my face to see. 

I sat up looking at the silver envelope on my lap. There was a white ribbon wrapped around it. My name was written in black pen in small cursive letters. I opened the letter slowly, making sure I wouldn't rip the envelope. The paper inside was a light blue with silver writing all over it.

I stared at the names once more. I had no idea who these people were. I looked over at the envelope and saw another piece of paper. I looked at it and it was may more informal than the letter I just read.

Hey,

  Your invited to my cousins wedding! I was wondering if you wanted to be my date? I told my family and they're dying to meet you. Please come! You will save me from boredom! I will  love you forever if you come! Text me later!

I got up and started to do my happy dance. I was so excited because this showed that Jake really likes me enough for him to invite me to his cousins wedding. Then something hit me, I need a dress! I ran over to my phone to text Brandi to come over. I started to put on some clothes. Once I got done getting ready, Brandi came threw my door, out of breath. 

"What is so important that you needed me here and you couldn't text me?" She huffed.

"Jake invited me to his cousins wedding!" I smiled appeared on my lips. She ran over to me and we started jumping up and down in circles. Once we stopped I took a breath and said, "The problem is, I dont have a dress."

"Then we are going to the mall right now!" She dragged me downstair, out of the house, and into her car. 

We looked in what felt like 100 stores. Every dress started to look the same. Until the last store. I walked in and there it was. It was laying on top of a box. I ran over to the lady working at the cash register. 

"Excuse me miss, Is that dress over there on that box for sale?" I asked politely.

"We were just about to put it in storage. Would you like to try it on?" I nodded fierorcly and she showed me to the fitting rooms.

I slipped the dress on carefully and looked at my reflection in the mirror. The dress was a lavender color. It was covered in ruffles, but not where i would look like a purple goose. A darker purple sash was tied under the bust. It went down a little past my knees. It showed off my shoulders, as the dress was strapless. I gave myself a smile and walked out to show Brandi.

"Oh my gosh! Gabbie, you are getting that dress. You look beautiful in it!" Brandi said with a smile. Her smile became brighter when she saw the price. It was marked down to $130.00. 

I quickly got changed and brought it up to the counter. "I'll take $50 off because it looked so beautiful on you and it wont sell.. " She flashed me a smile. A gave her one back as i handed her the money. 

WEDDING DAY

I got dropped off at this beautiful mansion. People were outside, talking to one another. There were caterers bringing in the food. I walked towards the grand entry way. Before I had the chance to admire the beautiful decorations; I was stopped by someone. 

"Hey." I giggled when I saw Jake's face. His jaw was down to the ground.

"Gabbie, you look amazing."

My hair was curled and i pined by bangs back. I paired my dress with white ballet flats. I added a necklace by mom bought me and a small pearl bracelet. 

Jake grabbed my hand and pulled me to the backyard. He introduced me into his parents. They were nice people, but i felt like I had to be super proper and perfect. After more talking, we had to take our seats.

The groom was at the alter in a black suit and a black tie. The priest was standing next to him. They were both standing under a cherry blossom tree. The bridesmaids walked down the aisle with the grooms men. They went to the designated areas and watched as the cute little flowers girls walked down the aisle, lightly throwing flowers. Behind them, the bride was arm and arm with her father. Her dress was beautiful. The white bodice was covered in beads; the rest of the dress flowed down like a waterfall. I looked over to the groom, his eyes were twinkling with happiness. His grin was ear to ear. She looked at her father, then at her soon to be husband. Once they made eye contact, her smile became brighter. You could easily tell that they loved each other.

"You may kiss the bride" The groom leaned in to kiss his wife. It was beautiful. Everyone clapped, some even cried. 

Next was the reception. Jake and I sat down eating and talking until I had to use the restroom. As I was walking there, I bumped into someone I really didn't expect to be here. Embryo.

"You have to be kidding me..." I mumbled to myself

"Gabbie... I knew you would be here." 

"Are you stalking me now?"

"I've missed you!"

"Get away from me freak!" I made a dash into the restroom but his arm caught me.

"I want to be with you! I want to be your boyfriend. Remember all the good times?"

"I have a boyfriend! Jake and I are happily together. I dont want to be with you. And honestly i don't remember any good times with you."

"But-"

"Get that through your skull! I DONT LIKE YOU!" With that, I walked back to the table where Jake was waiting for me. Embryo was following me. "Jake, let's dance!" I pulled him up and we started to sway to the music. I looked over at Embryo, he stopped and stared at us. I looked up into Jake's eyes and kissed him. From the corner of my eye I saw Embryo leaving. I let out a sigh.

"Everything ok Gabbsters?" Jake asked worried.

"Embryo was here... He's gone now. But he wants to get back together." Jake's eyes widened, his nostrils flared. "Jake calm down. Let's just have fun. Forget him." He took a deep breath and kissed the top of my head.

Oh my gosh... I updated!!! I haven't updated in so long!! Did anyone miss this story?? 

Well I'm not happy with this chapter.. i wrote it kinda quick so I could get a chapter out. What did you think of Embryo coming back?? 

I have some plans for the next chapter. I'm really excited about writing it!! :D So watch out for that. :)
