Today was the last day of school for Rai's junior year. There were many goodbyes and tears, especially for those of her friends that were seniors. Graduation was final.
Rai was walking home. The sun was shining with every step she took on the crumbling sidewalk. It felt amazing—she was finally free from the horrible chains of school.
Finally, Rai turned the corner to get onto her street. She closed her eyes and spun around with an imaginary tune swirling around her head.
Suddenly, she ran into a soft wall. She looked up to see a someone she'd never seen before—especially not in that area. He donned long, blonde hair, with the most striking crystal blue eyes and he was wearing a long, black cloak with cloud-like patterns on it. It was...
Deidara from the Akatsuki. One of the escaped killers. Although right now, he didn't look like one. His face was fallen, and he looked like he was about to cry. "Watch where you're going, un," he murmured.
"S-sorry..." she squeaked.
"What're you looking at, un?"
She didn't realize she had been staring at him for quite a while now. A blush creeped up her cheeks.
"Ah, um, sorry it's nothing. Are you going somewhere, Deidara?" He was suddenly close to her. His face was inches from hers. His frown was now a sneer.
"How do you know my name, un?"
"Uh, in case you haven't noticed, you've been on TV 24/7? Also, I'm a fan of NarutoShippuden! How could I not know who you are?"
He groaned loudly. "You're not another fan girl, are you? I have had enough, un."
"Well, they're probably chasing you around, especially considering you wearing that cloak in public is the same thing as holding a giant neon sign with an arrow pointing to you and screaming 'HEY IM DEIDARA COME AND CAPTURE ME!'"
"..."
"Do you wanna come to my house? I could get you some clothes."
Deidara shot her a questioning look. She only returned it with a hard state. Finally, he nodded slightly and she grabbed his right arm, pulling him towards her cream-colored house.
She pulled her keys out of her bag and unlocked the door. She pushed it open to reveal a small hallway revealing to the living room. After taking off their shoes, they made their way upstairs into the her room. Deidara looked around in awe, obviously because he was definitely not familiar with this world. It'd only been about a month or two since they arrived in their world.
"So, what's your name, hm?" he questioned.
"Why?"
"If you know mine, I wanna know yours too, un."
"It's Rai."
She took off her bag and threw it onto her bed. She walked over to her closet and started rummaging around. Yes, she had clothes that are made for guys, but hey! They were pretty comfortable. She found some sweats and a black tank top. When she turned around, Deidara already had his cloak off and he was standing near her desk. He was looking at a picture.
"These people your family, un?"
Her face fell.
"...Yeah."
