Chapter 6

"Ava! Over here!" I had been searching for James for about 10 minutes when I heard his call. I turned around and he was talking with a couple of guys and a girl. They looked quite a bit younger than us so I assumed they were fans and when I walked over to James, they were talking about Happy Wheels, it confirmed that. His arms instantly slipped around my waist.

"Hey." His smile was big and voice loud. I cuddled into his side, a hug being something I needed at the time after my visit to Seamus.

"Awh, you two are the cutest couple!" The girl squealed and clapped her hands. I could tell when I looked at James that he wasn't going to say anything, as she sounded pretty convinced we were a couple.

"Well it was nice meeting you guys!" James waved good bye to them and we headed into hottopic. I was searching for some new band tees, so when I spotted a bring me the horizon one I grabbed it in seconds.

"Someone's excited?!" James laughed from across the store where he was looking at some posters.

"Duh! It's Bring Me," I waved the shirt in his face, "I love them! Find anything you want?" He held up a gaming poster, then took the shirt from my hands. I didn't want him to pay for it but he insisted.

"A treat for my girl!" He just left me there bewildered and shocked. Him describing me as 'his girl' took me off guard. I caught up with him as he was lining up to pay.

"I'm...your girl?" He looked kind of embarrassed but he nodded.

"I mean...that's if you want to be?" I could feel my face going red as the girls in front of us stared at me, as was James. I almost felt pressured into saying yes. And its not that I didn't want to be with him, it was just that I'd ideally of liked to think about it but I couldn't just leave him hanging, so I nodded my head.

"Yeah, I'd love to be yours." I couldn't even describe the happiness of his face when I answered him and in all honestly, it made me happy. The girls in front of us were giggling and looked in awe of us as he pulled me closer to him.

"You don't realize how happy you've just made me." His voice was quite and his breath tickled my upper lip. I wrapped my arms around his neck, getting impatient of waiting for him to make the final move.

"Kiss me you butt." His lips melted into mine. It wasn't a passionate kiss. It was better than that. I could feel his compassion through his kisses, so gentle and sweet, making my heart melt completely. You know that feeling when you can feel the other person smiling into the kiss? I felt it and he probably did too because I smiling like a mad man. We only pulled apart when the cashier yelled out 'next', my smile not budging. Not only did James make me happy, but he took my mind off the whole Seamus fiasco. He actually cared for me, and wanted to be with me, and that's all I've ever wanted from a guy but I had a habit of falling for jerks and guys I couldn't have, basically Seamus.

After roaming the mall for a while, we ended up at a frozen yogurt bar, me getting strawberry yogurt with fruit and James getting chocolate with even more chocolate. We sat down at a table and started chatting until my phone started ringing. It was on the table and both James and I looked at it. It was Seamus. I sighed, knowing that I would have to answer it because James would question why I didn't want to talk to him. I mouthed 'sorry' to him and held the phone up to my ear.

"What?" I was extremely blunt to him.

"Please Ava. You know I didn't mean it. We need to talk. Where are you?" Typical.

"I told you I'm with James." I didn't want to talk to him. I just wanted to spend my time with my boyfriend, not being harassed by him. I could hear him sighing, like I had previously had. He had not right to be annoyed at me for not wanting to talk to him.

"I'll call you later then."

"Whatever." I hit the hang up button and buried the phone in my pocket.

"You okay?" James reached out and took hold of my hand across the table, obviously hearing my blunt conversation with Seamus. I put on a fake smile and nodded.

"Just Seamus being annoying." I laughed slightly, but I was in no way happy about the phone call.

"What's he..." His phone started ringing and he moved his hand away from mine and grabbed his phone and accepted his call, "Hey man!"

"...um yeah, I'm at the mall..." I wanted to know who he was talking to.

"yeah?" He sounded a bit confused, his eyebrows knotting slightly, his eyes looking up and me, making me think he was talking about me.

"...oh right, yeah that's cool. See you in a few minutes..." I had a bad feeling that someone was coming to meet us.

"Bye." His placed his phone on the table, "Seamus wants to hang out with us." My body mentally sighed but I just nodded at him. I didn't want him questioning why I felt awkward around him because I wouldn't be able to explain it to him and he wouldn't trust me. So I just had to put with him.
