Chapter 17

We reached the hotel and the first thing I did when we got in our room was jump in the shower. Travelling always makes me feel dirty as hell, something to do with the large amount of people in a small area for a long period of time. Just a got out of the shower I heard a knock at the door.

"Can someone get that?" I yelled hoping Aleks or James would answer the door, but after a few seconds I came to the realization that it was going to have to me, who was soaking wet, who would answer it. Luckily for me I had brought my bag in the bathroom in with me, so I slung one of James' t-shirts over the top of my damn body, putting some knickers before leaving the bathroom and pulling open the door of our room. As soon as I saw who was behind it, I recognized him a Ze and I'm assuming the girl with his was Jess. She was absolutely stunning, and then there was be in a massive t-shirt which was beginning to stick to my body with dripping wet hair.

"Hi, I'm Ava, James' girlfriend," I introduced myself rather sheepishly, before beckoning them to enter the room, "Guys, Ze and Jess are here!" Aleks instantly yelled out a hey, James followed in suit. They were both on their laptops, Ze placing himself next to Aleks and observing his screen.

"Boys eh?" Jess laughed, rolling her eyes at the dorks immersed into the glowing screens.

"Sometimes I doubt he'd notice if I disappeared," James' eye didn't ditatch from the screen so I spoke a little louder which set Jess off, "Or if I found a tall tanned, muscley spanish stallion." His eyes shot up that time, them narrowing on me but then I saw the way the softened when he took in my appearence. Surprisingly he closed his laptop, pushed it aside and got up from the bed. His hand reached out and grabbed the bottle of my t-shirt, using it to tug me closer to him. My hands shot to the bottle of the shirt as I felt it riding up my thighs, and by now everyone was looking at us. As soon as I was close enough, he wrapped his warm arms around me, his head nuzzling into my wet hair. Jess let our an 'aw'. James always did things like that, random acts that made my heart melt, whether it being a hug or even buying me my favourite candy when I was upset.

"I'd send out a search party the size of an army." He whispered, puzzling me as to what he was talking about. I rested my chin on his chest and looked up at him with confusion in my eyes. He let out a small laugh before explaining, "If you disappeared, I'd send out a search party the size of an army." My cheeks instantly warmed up, and I reburied my head into his chest.

"PDA PDA PDA PDA!" Aleks yelled out, making us all burst into fits of laughing, and James and I to pull apart.

"You're just jelous!" Jess smirked at Aleks, as Ze wrapped his arm around her waist. I felt bad for Aleks being surround by couples most of the time. And James had mentioned to me that Aleks used to have a thing for Jess, so he probably felt kind of awkward even though that was a year or so ago.

"Have you read the comments on my videos?" He chuckled, "I could quite easily have thousands of girlfriends!" He wasn't lying. He was definitely the most popular with the ladies out of the group.

"That's if you like 14 year old girls!" Ze let out a laugh, causing us all to laugh. I even saw a chuckle escape Aleks' lips, "Anyway we should probably go say hello to the others and let you get back to your own business." Ze and Jess left after giving us all a wave. Still snuggled up to James, I played with his curly locks.

"Jess seems really sweet, and Ze too." James simply nodded at me and kissed me cheek, "I love you." It was a whisper but that time a fully meant it. His hand touched my cheek sweetly, our eyes glued on each other.

"I love you too." His voice was just as quite as mine and just as sincere. The gap between was beginning to decrease, his other had placed firmly on my lower back; the grip getting tighter. All I needed in that moment was a single kiss to complete it but Aleks' voice interrupted us.

"If you would stop being all gross for a second, you'd see that Ash want to talk to you Ava!" My head instantly jerked to the end of the bed where Ash was stood with her arms crossed, eyes rolling.

"Um, sorry, what did you want?" I sat myself up, pulling the shirt down as James' hands had some how managed to pull it up without me noticing. Ash was dressed in one of Seamus' shirts, which I found weird seeing as I was in James'.

"Just was passing by and wondered if you wanted to grab some coffee and have a nice little chat?" That was the last thing I wanted to do, but when I looked to James for help he said I should go as they had editing to do.

"Okay, I'll come, but give me a minute to get changed." I dragged myself off the bed and towards my suitcase.

"Thought you might say that, I'll wait outside." What did she even mean by that comment, had she seen herself recently? I grabbed a pair of denim shorts and a bra from my case.

"Close your eyes Aleks!" I sighed, and he covered them with his hands. I didn't care about James seeing, so I quickly took his shirt off, slipped my bra on, then pulled the shirt back on. I pulled the shorts up and told Aleks he was good to look now. Something about his smile told me he peaked. Ah well, it's James he would have to deal with. I grabbed my bag off the side, "I won't be too long, see you later boys." I blew a kiss to James, which he replied with a wink to.

As she said, Ash was waiting outside the door. She gave me a sickly sweet smile and chose to link my arm, pulling me towards elevator.

*at the cafe*

We'd ordered our drinks and found a booth to sit in, and it was silent until Ash decided to speak.

"You and James seem all loved up." My whole body tensed when she spoke about us. She could say anything about anyone, but him. He was the thing I couldn't afford for her to ruin. Her smirk said it all, she was up to no good.

"Yeah I guess, he's so sweet to me." I at least tried to sound happy to be talking to her, to avoid an awkward trip, "How are you and Seamus?" Her smile widened.

"We're perfect. Better than ever before. Nothing with ruin us," Her tone had an underlying firmness, "Or no one should I say." That was definitely a threat, it even causing me to choke on my drink.

"Ash, c'mon I'm with James now." She shook her head and let out a laugh.

"Technically you were with James when you fucked Seamus before." Her eyes were glued to me, watching my every moved. I couldn't even deny it, because she was right; I messed up and she had to remind me of it.

"I..."

"If you ever go near Seamus, I might accidentally tell James about it. I wonder how he would feel knowing one of his best friends had fucked his girlfriend..." She paused and had left me speechless, "Oh wait, I know how that felt." I couldn't let it happen. I couldn't break James' heart, he was my everything. All of a sudden, her face softened and she took hold of my hand, which had began shaking. She smiled that fucking fake smile at me.

"But I know you wouldn't do that because we're friends, and that's what friends do." All I could do was nod, "Anyway I better get back to Sea." And just like that, she left me stunned and alone. My breathing was hitched, my head soon becoming buried in my hands.

"Ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod." I panicked. She was blackmailing me, and I knew at some point I would have to talk to Seamus. It meant I would have to go out of my way to avoid him, or tell James myself. I knew I didn't have the guts to own up, because I knew it would be the end of us. I was lost.
