Beside You

  They sat together on the couch of their hotel room, Luke held Michael tightly in his arms, knowing that soon they wouldnt have any time for peace. Ashton and Calum sat whispering together at the table when suddenly they heard the door slam open.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Joanne shouted, storming into the room. "What do you mean, you're in a relationship?"

"Exactly that," Luke said as Michael sat up.

"Not acceptable! Do you know how much sales have fallen since your announcement?"

"I don't give a shit. That's not what we care about," Calum said.

"You cant make them hide forever," Ashton replied.

"This is not acceptable. You have to say it was a prank."

"I don't know if you know this... but you're not our boss. Zoe is. If you want something done, bring it up with her," Michael said, grabbing Luke's hand. He shuddered under the look she gave him.

"I'll have your contracts for this. You'll lose everything."

"Not everything," Luke said. "We'll still have eachother. We'll have our family, our friends. The real loss is yours. So go ahead. Take our contracts." Joanne huffed and turned, walking out without another word. Michael sighed and put his head in his hands.

"We're screwed, arent we?" He whispered.

"Maybe..." Luke said, rubbing his back. "But hey. We're fine."

"Boys, we need to head out for your last interview in about ten minutes, be ready," Dave said.

"Great. I really don't want to deal with James Cordon..." Michael muttered. He really had a strong dislike for the man, he was always unnecessarily rude to Michael.

He sighed and walked back to his room, grabbing his denim jacket off of the bed and pulling it on. Luke came up behind him and wrapped his arms around the boy tightly.

"You going to be okay?"

"Yeah, fine... I just dont see why we have to do an interview with him. He should just stay in Los Angeles... except for when we go to Los Angeles then he should just leave." Luke laughed softly and kissed Michael's cheek as Dave called for them.

"Let's go," he smiled, holding his boyfriend's hand and leading them out of the room.

After a long, emotionally draining interview with James, the boys got back to their hotel late. Calum and Ashton went to bed instantly, but Michael knew he wouldn't be able to sleep. Luke sat next to him on the couch and pulled his legs so they were on his own.

"I seriously hate him," he whispered.

"Since when?" Michael asked, playing with the boy's long fingers.

"He kept touching my ass, he was a total dick to you, and did you hear all of his sex jokes? He just kept trying to get into our personal lives and boundaries."

"He touched your ass?"

"Only like 10 times. The first time I thought it was an accident but by the third time I was creeped out..." Michael bit his lip and folded his arms. "Babe, don't be jealous," Luke smiled, tracing small circles on his boyfriend's thigh with his thumb.

"I'm not jealous.. I'm just pissed that he touched your ass. It's my ass." Luke smirked and looked up at him, a playful look in his eyes.

"Your ass, huh?" He asked, moving his hand up the boy's thigh softly. Michael smiled and sat forward so he was on Luke's lap, connecting their lips in a sweet kiss.

"Those are mine too," he whispered.

"You know what else is yours?" Luke raised his eyebrows in a teasing manner before glancing down at his lap. Michael bit his lip again and straddled the taller boy, connecting their lips once again.

"Everything about you is mine," he whispered. "Especially that." Luke laughed and kissed him again.

"And you're mine. Don't ever think otherwise." Michael smiled and stood up, pulling the younger boy with him before dragging him into their room. Michael wrapped his arms around the boy's thin waist as Luke's arms snaked around his neck, his fingers tangling themselves in his faux blond hair. They fell onto the bed softly, Michael ontop. Michael quickly began undoing the buttons of Luke's red and black flannel shirt, throwing it to the floor to join the other discarded clothing items.
