October 31st, my birthday. A month had passed since we broke up.

Everyone was gathered in the Great Hall, Dumbledore was standing at the front.

"For now please join me in the welcoming the lovely ladies of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and their headmistress Madame Maxime" Dumbledore said.

A group of girls dressed in blue dresses prance down the aisle.

George's POV

A group of girls, very attractive girls, not to mention French. Ron along with every guy in the room looked at them their eyes following them. I looked at Eylse she looked beautiful, the light was perfectly shining above her.

I wonder what she's look like in one of those dresses ? Hmmm.

No! Snap out of it George you can't be thinking things like that especially not one of your friends, she's only broke up with her boyfriend a month ago, well I guess she's strong enough to have gotten over him and today's her birthday.

What am I going to get her ? No stop it George, off topic again.

My POV

When they reached the end of the aisle they released, the same shade of blue, butterflies into the air. A small blonde girl started doing all types of gymnastics, a girl who looked much like her but older, must've been her sister, did ballet next to her as they reached the end and took a bow, the hall erupted in applause.

"Blimey that's a big woman" I say, at an audible range so that everyone heard. I mean everyone. A giant woman walked down the aisle wearing the most ridiculous coat.

"And now our friends from the north, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and their high master Igor Karkaroff" Dumbledore continues, gesturing towards the door a series of older boys walked up the aisle holding staffs, slamming them on the floor in a rhythmic fashion as sparks fly out of the bottom.

"Blimey it's him, Viktor Krum!" Ron's voice calls, out over the roar of applause, everyone let out excited gasps and murmurs at one of the Durmstrang boys who breathed fire. Wow.

These guys were attractive but my eyes landed on George. I wonder what he would look like in one of the uniforms ? Hmmm.

No off topic. You've only just gotten over Cedric. Come on now keep a level head.

Everyone applauds loudly, I let out a small cheer, clapping ecstatically.

"You're attention please! I would like to say a few words, eternal glory, that is what awaits the student who wins the tri-wizard tournament, but to do this that student must survive three tasks, three extremely dangerous tasks" Dumbledore speaks, over the crowd.

Everyone silent.

"Wicked" Fred's voice, calls out over the silent hall.

"For this reason the ministry has seen fit to impose a new rule, to explain all this we have the head of the department of international magic co-operation Mister Bartimus Crouch" Dumbldedore continues, suddenly thunder roars overhead, it was the enchanted ceiling, rain begins to leak through the roof, every girl in the hall starts screaming along with a few boys.

Suddenly a huge man walks through a back door, he points his wand at the ceiling and everything soon settles.

"I recognise him from the Daily Prophet" I says, nudging Pansy.

"Yeah I think they call moody eye or something" She whispers back.

"Yeah, I think it's Mad-Eye Moody" I say, suddenly realising that I'd seen him talking to my father before, when he worked lower down in the Ministry.

The slumped figure enters the room limping slightly, breathing heavily as he goes.

Dumbledore walks towards him.

"My dear old friend, thanks for coming" Dumbledore says greeting him.

"That stupid roof" He replies, taking a quick swing of his drink. Barty Crouch walked up to where Dumbledore was previously.

"After much deliberation the ministry has concluded that for their own safety no student under the age of seventeen shall be allowed to put forth their name for the tri-wizard tournament, this decision is final" He finishes, everyone makes boos and shouts over him as he finishes talking.

"That's rubbish! You don't know what you're doing!" George's voice calls out over the crowd.

"Silence!" Dumbledore says, his voice thunder echoing through the hall. A box is put in the place of the podium and Dumbledore casts a spell over it, it melts away revealing a goblet which burns brightly with a blue flame.

"The goblet of fire, anyone wishing to submit themselves for the tournament merely write their name upon a piece of parchment and throw it in the flame before this hour on Thursday night, do not so lightly, is chosen there's no going back, as from this moment the tri-wizard tournament has began" Dumbledore speaks in his usual peaceful tone, he motions his hands, everyone soon leaves the room in quick hushed discussions.

When I reached the Slytherin common room Pansy sat in her bed.

"Do you think Cedric will put his name in the goblet ?" Pansy asked.

I shrug, taking off my cloak and tie folding it, placing it on top of my trunk.

"I. . .don't know" I sigh, changing into my pyjamas.

"Well he might do it to get you back," Pansy said pulling the her covers over herself "I mean he must feel really awful about what he did and he might try to prove himself to you" Pansy said leaning on her arm propping herself up.

"Oh right, but he might just be doing it for himself" I sigh, doing the same.

"Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see," She says enthusiastically, lying down fully turning over "See you in the morning Elyse" She yawns, I turn over lying on my back staring at the ceiling.

What if he did put his name in ?

Would he win me back ? Could he ?

What if he died ? What if he didn't come back ?

What would I do then ?

Do I still love him ?

Millions of more questions rush through my mind, I tossed and turned in my bed finally falling asleep to my cat purring softly lying next to me.
