. . .

ghost of who she once was

12/27/16

all the stars she looked up to has faded

all the strings inside her never lasted.

she used to see magic in all things

now she's all tainted,

everything felt so grey

now that her love is wasted.

she knew the things they say were never true,

they told her nightmares only happen at sleep,

how come they're still there when she's awake too?

she fears a lot of things lately

she thinks she's not strong enough.

it's like she can't escape the madness in her head,

she overthinks way too much.

but she hasn't lost herself yet

she can still see the ghost of who she once was.

she can still see the girl who adored the beauty of the sun,

there's still true parts of herself,

not much but always better than none.

the world always looked better in her eyes.

it's silly but everything seems to fly.

time, peter pan and even herself.

if she can live in a world where her mind made up

she wouldn't want everything to end.
