Chapter 13 The New King

One day after Eryk, Skyrah, and Ziff left General Gideon and General Dyllan headed for Seikatsu Castle to accept Lord Zhenya's proposition. It took the two of them less than two days to reach their destination on horseback including the night to rest. Once they arrived they were warmly welcomed into the castle.

"Welcome back to Seikatsu Castle General Gideon and Dyllan. May I presume that you are now General Dyllan?" "Thank you for welcoming us Lord Zhenya. You are correct, I have taken the title 'general' now." "Congratulations. I'm guessing that I will be taking the title of 'king' according to both of your presences here." Lord Zhenya spoke with unbridled confidence but the two generals remained passive. General Gideon decided to speak up, "we would like to seek an audience with you." Lord Zhenya nodded and replied, "very well, please follow me to the throne room."

"Lord Zhenya, the Air Tribe officially accepts your proposition," the two generals spoke at once. Zhenya nodded and motioned his servant to his side. After whispering for a minute or two the servant scampered off somewhere. Zhenya spoke, "I thank you for your support and you have made the right decision. My messengers will notify the other tribes at once and my coronation will be held within a span of three days. I would like to address the matter about former General Eryk." The generals nodded, knowing that this topic would come up during the meeting. Zhenya continued, "he is a traitor to the kingdom and will be wanted for the murder of King Ryan. You are not allowed to help him at all, in fact if you were to see him you are obligated to turn him in. Is this clear?" "Of course Lord Zhenya," the generals replied. "Have either of you been in touch with him at all since King Ryan's Death?" "We have not been in touch with that traitor." The general's answer was carefully thought out and was not a complete lie. If Lord Zhenya caught it he did not seem to notice. "Very good. Will you be staying here until the coronation?" General Dyllan answered, "if we are not imposing." "You are not I assure you. You are very welcome to stay here at the castle." "Thank you." After the two general's thanked Lord Zhenya they retired to their room.

Word spread of Lord Zhenya's coronation very fast and gossip rang out everywhere. Preparations were made and all the lords and ladies prepared gifts. Soon, there would be a new king ruling the Kingdom of Faylinn. A king that would change history and start a new era.
