Chapter 5
I cried in my room….how could he do that….he hurt my feelings……..
“Though I only met him yesterday. I don’t know why I already love him.” I said while crying so hard.
Ryan’s POV
I was walking up the stairs. Then I heard someone crying….
It was Victoria… I was surprised when I heard what she said. “Though I only met him yesterday. I don’t know why I already love him.” I heard her say that… don’t tell me what she said a while ago was true? I felt anger rage inside me. I was so mad for doing something like that to someone who loved me.
I was about to come in when Cassandra stopped me “Ryan, don’t. It’ll make things worse” said Cassandra. Then Victoria opened the door and looked at us with her eyes sore.
When she saw my face, tears filled her eyes and ran down the stairs and outside crying. Why does she always run away? It hurts me more knowing that she’s running away from me and because of me.
Victoria’s POV
I saw his face and ran away…
I ran to the forest. I fell down on my knees. I started crying.
Someone suddenly covered my mouth. I was fighting back. The guy pulled my hair and took me to a dark place in the middle of the forest.
He pushed me into the ground and went on top of me and ripped my shirt revealing only my bra “What are you doing? Please stop this.” He smirked “You’re quite sensitive Victoria” how does he know my name. I looked at his face carefully and it was Sheldon. The guard who would always bring me food and clothes while I was still in the tower. “Why is this all happening to me? Do you know why? I’ve only been experiencing bad things in my whole life… will I die bring only bad memories?” He looked at me with pity in his eyes. His tears started falling on my face. “I’m so sorry Victoria. I didn’t want to do it but it was the governor’s order. He told me to r*** you and dispose of you.” “What? Why?” I asked “He said he’d kill my parents if I didn’t do it!” he yelled and cried more. I put my hand on his face “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure he won’t be able to lay a finger on the. And stop his evil deeds.”
He suddenly held my shoulders and tried to kiss me. “Sheldon? What’s happening to you?” I was shaking I kept resisting but, he suddenly became so strong. Our lips were so close. I closed my eyes while tears are falling.
Then I heard Sheldon scream in pain. I opened my eyes and saw Ryan behind him and threw him and was about to stab him.
“RYAN! No! Don’t kill him!” I shouted. He stopped his hand “Consider yourself lucky being spared by me.” He said coldly looking down at Sheldon. Ryan went to me to help me get up. I went near Sheldon and stared at him. There was really something wrong with him. “He’s been possessed by a vampire.” Said Ryan looking at Sheldon then me “Ride on my back now” he said. “Huh? What about Sheldon?” I asked “The possessor will eventually leave his body.” explained Ryan. I looked at Sheldon, I didn’t want to leave him. ”Ride on my back now!” shouted Ryan but I didn’t move. He got impatient and just carried me on his shoulder.
He ran so fast. I feel like falling and just wanted to jump. I was feeling so sick and scared at the same time. I can’t even see the ground clearly. We stopped and I asked him why he went after me.
“Nothing. I just happen to pass by and heard some irritating cry.” he answered “Oh! Okay! Thanks for your help, I’ll go now.” I turned around and was about to leave when he hugged me from behind “I’m so sorry for everything, it’s just that….I can’t stop thinking of you.” said Ryan saying the last part shyly. I was so surprised by all the revelations that tears started to fall. “Really? Is it really true this time?” I asked and I felt him nod. “I like you Victoria. I really really like you.” “I like you too, Ryan” I replied.
He held my shoulders and turn me so that I could face him. I just realized that he was so tall, I was only up to his chin. “Uhm…Can I ask you on a date?” he asked. I looked up and smiled at him “Yes. Of course.”
