•Aaliyah•
I woke up to a high pitched ringing in my ears.
Holding my hands up I front of my face, I saw through blurred vision red.
Red all over my body.
It was blood.
Though I know for a fact. It isn't mine.
As my eyes became more focused I realized, I was in someone's home. And I could hear that someone just downstairs.
Using all the force I had in my body, I pushed myself into sitting up.
Shakily reaching out and grabbing a dagger from the side table, then with more effort and more pain I got myself to stand up.
"Oh no! You shouldn't be walking around yet!" Someone yelled coming up the stairs.
I couldn't tell who it was, my vision was still far too blurry to make anything out.
"Get the fuck away!" I said venom dripping.
"Woah... calm down miss." The kind man urged me, as I fell back onto the bed reluctantly.
"I said get the fuck away!" I screamed.
"Woah! Miss please!"
"Do you even fucking know who I am?" I asked eyeing him. "I'm an assassin for the parthevia empire. And I..." I paused as every little detail of what I did came back, "Oh my god..."
"What? Are you okay, is something wrong?" He asked as I fell to my knees looking at my blood covered hands.
"I... killed them." I said as my breath grew shakier "Oh god I killed my only friends."
"Hey, calm down. I'll run you a bath, just stay right there." The still unnamed man said running down the stairs.
I looked down at my hands in my lap deciding if I could even cry or not. Because no matter if I wanted to cry or not, it felt like there was nothing left inside of me that was capable of crying. I just felt hollow.
And just as the man came back up the blade I dropped earlier caught the corner of my eye.
He led me to the bathroom and let me wash off all of the blood, and as I started to take off my clothes I noticed that he had wrapped up a stab wound.
However my immediate thoughts were that if he hadn't helped me I would be dead and that I probably deserved to be dead. But I got into the bath scrubbing the blood off of my skin almost until it was raw.
And upon getting out I noticed that Yunan had left a simple white dress for me to wear. Even though I absolutely hate dresses I put it on as my other clothes were completely wrecked.
Leaving the bathroom I saw the man sitting at a table with a plate at an empty spot on the table. Presumably it was good for me.
"Thank you for tending to my wounds Sir."
"Oh please, call me Yunan." He said with a warm smile.
"I'm... my name is Aaliyah." I said not really sure if I wanted to give this man my name.
"I guess your hair is actually white then." He joked as I sat down and began eating.
"Where am I and how long have I been here?" I said getting down to business.
"We are at the bottom of the great rift. And I don't really know how long it's been but it had been quite a while." He said innocently smiling.
"The great rift? You mean I'm on the Dark Continent?" I asked confused.
"That's right." He paused thinking for a moment, "If you don't mind me asking what exactly happened."
"I lost control. I messed up." I said giving him the vaguest answer possible.
"Okay, you can tell me later. Is there anyone on the surface that would need to see you?" He asked understanding that someone who woke up in their friends blood would not really want to talk about what had happened.
"My Brother! Ja'far! Is he okay?" I yelled trying to remember if I had hurt him or not.
I closed my eyes trying to remember and felt a sense of relief as I vaguely remembered saying goodbye. But it was almost as if it wasn't my memory.
"Thank god..." I trailed off leaving a confused Yunan. "I need to get stronger Yunan, please help me. I can't let anything like that happen again.
He slightly smirked before replying. A smirk that told me he definitely had something up his sleeve. "Ya know Aaliyah just recently I help a boy obtain the power of a dungeon I can definitely help you do the same. But I have to warn you it's extremely dangerous"
"Then let's do it, Yunan."
