I glance down at my arms. Once again, I have betrayed myself.
Fifteen days I had been clean, and now everything is gone.
The sink is once again splattered with little ringlets of blood, dripping off my arm like a faucet. My arm stings in pain, but the pain is what I want, what I crave.
I cant use a towel to try to stop the bleeding, Im afraid that my parents will realize that I have started again. I glance at the metal ring beside the toilet. I let out a mental sigh. Toilet paper it must be.
I pick up the thin, rippable material and slowly wrap it around my bleeding arm, careful not to break the chain of paper. But, to my despair the toilet paper doesnt stop the bleeding. No matter how many layers of paper I put on my cuts, the blood seeps through and is dripping everywhere.
I had never cut this deep, this certain way. At that moment and time, I realize. This is fatal. My eyes widen at this realization. I didnt want to take cutting this far, it just gave me a relief, a relief that I craved.
I grab a black towel of the hook, and run into my parents room. This is the only solution. By this point I am screaming, feeling already lifeless. I run directly into my mothers arms, while she motions for my dad to call 911. Everything is happening in slow motion, my mom wipeing my tears, my dad screaming into the phone, hearing sirens in the far distance. I let the darkness seep in, and let it overcome me.
Then suddenly I am in a dream like place. Im floating around in pitch darkness, and there are demons chasing me. Biting at my feet, calling me names, showing me my greatest fears.
Ugly!
Fat!
They continue to taunt me.
Slut!
Whore!
Fat!
Fat!
Fat...
And then its over. Its all over, and I am put in pitch darkness yet again.
