Chapter 3

Fast Forward to Alexandria

As we entered the gates of Alexandria I got some spectacle looks for the people there, but Rick assured they would warm up to us. But I'm not worried that their people won't like me, I got to talk to Daryl, Glenn, Abraham and Michonne on the way here and they were all really nice to me once they realized I wasn't a harm to them or their group. 

We were all to meet in the church so I could explain the situation to the rest of the town. As i entered the church it was already packed up, so i made my way to the front of the church and turned around and took in all the people staring at me. I took a deep breath and started to talk "hello people of Alexandria, for those who don't know I'm Kelly and I'm from a group called the wonderers, we have our town not far from here called the safe zone. Rick has accepted our offer of becoming allies, in a world like this, its the best way to help one another get the supplies. What being allies means is that we will help out each other, if were low on food, you give us food, if your low on ammo, we supply you with bullets. We are in this together, we help each other out, thats what the wonderers are all about" i say while smiling, and as i look around everyone has a slight grin on their face. I looked at Rick as he made his way up to the front and said "you must respect Kelly, she saved our lives, she's a good person" 

I looked at Rick in awe of his words, no one has ever spoken such kind words to or about me. As the church emptied out it was just me and Rick "I guess ill head back and let my leader know we found a new allie, I'm usually the one in charge of communicating with others outside the safe zone, ill be back in the morning so we can run through some things. As we walk out of the church rick turns to me and gives me a hand shake "thank you for today, I'm glad you were in those woods today." With one last nod and a smile me, Drew, and Jerry were on our way back to the safe zone. 

About an hour later we arrive home and I go straight to Patrick our leader and tell him the good news and then head straight to supper. I grab some food and head to sit with Drew and Jerry, "alright tomorrow we head back over to Alexandria and try and figure out what they have to offer us and what we can provide for them" i say between bites of food, they nod in agreement and continue eating 

Fast Forward to the morning-

I wake up and proceed to get packed, I make sure I grab a full inventory of all our supplies and make a list. Drew and Jerry met me at the gate and once again we make our way to the gates. 

Luckily we didn't run into any bad news like last time and we made our way safely to the gates but as we approached Alexandria we noticed multiple huge trucks and men inside and outside of their walls . We proceed to the gate and enter Alexandria, it was a madhouse in there, people were moving furniture from the house, guns, food, and clothing. "what the hell" i said in a hushed voice to myself. Then I spot Rick talking to some man in a leather jacket, but his back was towards me, i proceed to walk up to them, the man in the leather jacket back was still towards me, then ricks eye meets mine and his eyes read "what the hell are you doing, get the hell out!!" but me being the stubborn and curious ass I am I said " What the hells going on here?!" Then it got dead silent, all eyes were on mine, except for the man in the leather jacket, but then he finally starts to slowly turn around to look at the girl brave enough to speak, and thats when I finally got a look at the man in the jacket and all I could manage to say was "fuck".
