Running in Circles (Negan)

Chapter 6

I lay in bed and try to close my eyes but nothing is making me fall asleep, my mind keeps drifting off to the weird ass night I had earlier. Not only that but I can't stop thinking about that son of a bitch Negan and that stupid but sexy smile of his and it was driving me insane

I promised myself I would not fall for a guy like him, yet here i am, laying in bed trying to sleep but for some stupid reason Negan won't leave my mind. I finally decide to get out of bed and start preparing for my day out scavenging with Rick. I grab some granola bars, couple bottles of water, some weapons and head out on the road. 

I arrive to Alexandria just on time and I see Rick and Aaron gathering a few supplies and loading it into this huge truck. "hey stranger" I say walking up to both of them. Rick turns around and smiles "Just in time Kelly, we just finished loading up, lets get going, we got a long day ahead of us."

As I jump in the huge hauling truck I squeezed perfectly between Aaron and Rick in the front seat. I pulled out my map and gave directions to Rick on a local store that wasn't to far. "So if you take this road for about ten minutes and take a right on central road we should be there" I say directing Rick

Soon enough we were pulling up to the store, I jumped out and took care of a few walkers roaming around to close for comfort and then entered the now abandoned store. Surprisingly there was not one walker in the store but there was a shit tone of canned food and bottled water. I start loading it into my bag, "Rick take a look at this" I exclaim proud to show him what I found but before he could make his way over we all heard a sound we were all to familiar with 

What sounded like hundreds of moans coming from behind the store, Aaron sprints into the store "guys we need to get the hell out of here now" I gather my bags and me and Rick sprint out of the store, walkers were already surrounding us, so I grab my knife and start killing anything that gets to close, we finally make it to the truck door and we quickly get in  and take off"

It was dark now and we decided to stop for the night, we slept in the back of the U-Haul truck, and as we lay down all ready to pass out from the exhausting day we had, Rick speaks "you did great finding that place Kelly, but it won't be enough, not for us, or for Negan, we have tomorrow morning to find something" I sit up and look at Rick, "and we will find something Rick" I say with a reassuring smile before laying back down. Before I knew it I was fast asleep

"Kelly Wake up, its just past 5 am" Rick said gently nudging me awake. I slowly open my eyes and sigh, sad because I'm still so exhausted from everything that has happened, we slowly get ourselves together and ready for the day. Rick pulls open the back hatch of the U-haul truck and looked out "well I didn't see that last night" he said jumping out of the truck, so I get out to inspect what exactly he was talking about and notice its a sign that reads "turn back now, nothing past here but trouble" So all three of us look at one another nod in agreement, and push past the sign. We needed to find something else, I couldn't let Rick or his group down

As we push further into the woods still following the path, it finally lead to a huge sign that said "if you made it this far I'm probably dead" and past that sign was a huge pond, and right in the middle of it was a huge boat "thats probably where all his supplies are" Rick said. But the only down side was it was protected by walkers, the pond was filled with them.

"Your not seriously thinking about doing that are you?" Aaron said in disbelief when Rick found an old boat with bullet holes lodged in it. "We need those supplies" Rick said while breaking off some wood to use as oars. "You both can stay back, I couldn't ask you to do this with me" I walk up to him and help him push the boat in the water "Im going to pretend you didn't say that" I said while I jumped in the boat with him, "Im coming too" Aaron said reluctantly while getting in the boat.

Who started paddling our way, the boat was holding up fairly well,  we were more than half way there when we got stuck, a group of walkers circled or boat and started to climb in, we grab our knifes and started to kill anything that tried to climb in and finally we were surrounded by a bunch of dead floating walkers, we all let out a sign of relief and started to paddle again. But before we could get any further a walker came out from the water and grabbed Aaron pulling him into the water. 

"NO!" me and Rick screamed as he fell underneath the water , finally his head came above the water "I can't swim!" he screamed briefly until his head went under again. I take my jacket off and my backpack off and turn to Rick "whatever happens, don't leave this boat" I say before jumping in, Rick screams out for me to stop but its to late. 

I start swimming as fast as I can to wear we last saw Aaron go under. I carefully avoided any walkers in the water and dove under water with my eyes open. The water was really dirty and I could barely see anything underwater, then as Im swimming something grabs my leg and I let out a blood curdling scream. I look down with my knife ready to kill the walker who grabbed me but as I look down I see its Aaron and his eyes screamed terrified

I quickly dove back down to the bottom of the pond and grabbed him, we quickly got to the surface and Aaron seemed to be alright, I dragged him over to the boat with Rick in it and pushed him into it, then I climbed inside as well. We finally get to the boat of supplies and off that poor excuse of a paddle boat. But before we could start scavenging Aaron almost knocked me over with the biggest bear hug ever

"Thank you, Thank you so much Kelly, you saved my life" Aaron said on the verge of tears, I hugged him back "thats what friends are for" I said smiling to myself.

Time skip 

We finally are driving back to Alexandria, its about mid day and we had an extremely successful day and we got plenty of food, clothing, and weapons. We pull up to the gates and my stomach drops, Negan's trucks are parked inside and outside of the walls "fuck me" I exclaim scared as to why he's almost a week early.....something told me it wasn't good, but I couldn't help the butterflies I got knowing Negan was here.
