The man in red beckoned the toy forward. It walked with wooden movements and spit out two objects.
One, a small piece of flesh grooved with buds.
The man nodded. "A liar."
Second, a tiny finger crusted with blood.
The man laughed. "And a thief! Very bad children indeed. Ho, ho, ho!"
The toy smiled with shark-like teeth, bathed red.
