WHAT THE STORY IS ABOUT:
This story is about a seventeen year old girl name Adrianna Martian.
She was normal up until when her family a huge secret. She was
actually born into a family of NightWalkers. They are guardians of
earth and protects humans from being innocently killed. Her life is
torn between a dark fallen angel, a cute boy, her brother's hot best
friend and the honour of her life and duty.
The beginning is a little boring, so you can skip to chapter three if you want to.
I pushed my thick black hair out of my eyes as the many trees zoomed by. I was sitting in the back of the bus on my ride home. The bus ride was quiet. I was the only person on it. I was the only one who live in this district of the city. In this part of the city, all you see is trees and more trees. If strangers came, they would think that they've entered a forest. But I love it here. I love everything that was to love about here; to the thick trees to the beautiful morning smell. To me, it was home.
After getting off the bus ride, the sun was still high up in the clear blue sky. I strolled down the stony pathway. Suddenly I heard the sound of footsteps behind me. I twirled around. No one was there. I was positive that someone or something was there. Then again hiding behind the towering trees was no effort at all. I hastened my pace home. I reached into my pocket for any usable weapon. There was nothing. The thought of being followed never occurred to me.
My pace broke into a run. Something about me felt that the thing was keeping up with me. My body was alert, ready for anyone to attack me at any direction. Upon reaching the front gate, I pushed it aside roughly not bothering to shut it. Dashing for the front door, I rampage for my keys. When I was inside, I slammed the door hastily, locked it and leaned against it. I was breathing heavily.
I peeked out the eye hole and no one was there. The feeling of being watched still lingered in the air. I didn't feel save, even in my own house. No one was home. Mother and father were working and Alex, I don't know where Alex was.
After sitting down on my couch for several minutes, I finally relaxed a bit. No one was watching me. I'd walked down that same path to and from the bus stop countless times. Why would someone bother to follow me now?
Unexpectedly, I felt my stomached growled. I had forgotten I didn't eat lunch and how hungry I was. Grabbing a pack of Oreos and some milk, I headed for my room.
After swinging my shoulder bag onto my leather couch, I fell backwards onto my soft bed. Was I hallucinating? Was someone actually after me? I was nervous and confused at the same time. I had never felt being followed before.
The music to my ring tone broke my concentration. Checking the caller ID I discovered it was my best friend Shayla.
"Hello Shayla." I answered.
"Adrianna!" Screamed my best friend.
"What do you want Shay?"
"Where are you?"
"At home." The answer seemed obvious.
"When will you be here?"
"What do you mean?"
"Don't you remember?" She sounded frantic. "We were suppose to go on our monthly shopping spreed!"
"Oh! Right." I had totally forgot.
"You forgot didn't you."
"Um. No, it's just there was a problem."
"Well hurry up will you?"
