Devion's car smoothly glided into what seem to look like a huge garage. There were three other cars parked there as well as empty spaces. They ranged from Ferraris to Bugattis. The gate closed shortly after.
"Wow." I said when I saw the neat row of cars. "You're richer than I thought."
He undid his seatbelt and shrugged. "Care to take one for a ride one day?"
"Maybe." I tried to hide my enthusiasm. My parents were million dollar rich, but his family were beyond that. "So you own how many cars?"
"Four in total." He replied, "The rest are parking spaces for my people visit."
"That cool." I said. We left the car and walked over to yet another fancy looking double door. Devion placed his index finger on a metal plate and a second later, the doors opened. I guess they respond to one's finger print.
Devion was punching something into a small screen beside the plate. I couldn't see very well what he was doing.
"Your hand please." He said without turning.
"Huh?"
"Your hand please." He repeated and took my hand. He placed my index finger on the plate and let it drop a second later. "How say something."
"What?"
"Thank you." He said.
I didn't get what he was doing. The door was already opened. Why weren't we going inside?
"All done." He said turning to me.
"What's done?" I asked.
"I've put your fingerprint and voice into the system."
"So what does that mean?" I enquired.
He smiled. "It means from this second on you are welcomed to enter my dwelling whenever you prefer."
"Are you serious?" I asked, "You're actually going to let a seventeen year old girl roam your home freely? What if I steel or break something?"
"I don't care." He said.
"And what about the garage door? That doesn't open up for me."
He tossed me a little keychain. I caught is and looked at me. There was a little hello kitty on it with a large red nose.
"Like it?" He asked with a smug expression. "I got it custom made for you."
"What is it?" I asked curiously. I doubt it was something normal.
"It's a remote. You use it to open the garage gate." He took it from my hand and presses her nose. The gate slid open. He presses it again and it closed shut.
"That is sure interesting." I said lightly. Wow. What a creative idea; a custom made hello kitty remote.
"Come," he said taking my hand. "I'll show you the house."
As soon as we stepped into the room, the lights lit up one by one. The door led to what seemed like a family den. There was a grand staircase in front of me. Many small lights were installed under the staircase and a single couch sat there. Several books were thrown on it.
We doubled around and I gasped.
The walls were painted a dark golden brown colour. There was a large room with five expensive couches making a pentagon. There was a glass table placed in the middle. Directly opposite from the garage entry was the main entrance; two doors twice the size or normal ones with frosted glass panels on either side. I looked behind me. There was a huge straight staircase leading up. Two extremely wide hallways were on either ends of the large room. A mixture of classical and modern artworks decorated the place. Many decorative vases and artifacts were displayed in shelves or cases.
