Glee Camp. Let's do this.
The whole week, it's girls versus boys. Each team gets a point if they do something musically correct. For example, a good performance, win a sing off, things like that. It was pouring rain outside, so all of us girls directed ourselves to the mess hall, aka the cafeteria, to sort the bunks out and wait out the rain inside the log building. A few girls in the Glee Club and some from Vocal Adrenaline were sitting behind the a table on a stage like platform they had at the front of the tables checking everyone in. Girls were sitting at tables everywhere and only a few were in line since it was around three and we started checking people in at noon.
Once we were done, I got up from the table and stood in front of it. I grabbed a microphone and made it squeak a little. "Okay everyone. Registration is done, thank you all for cooperating! As you can see, the rain is still going strong and the forecast says it'll end in about an hour, so everyone can just chill until then. Any questions?" I looked around. "Do we even have a chance at winning against the boys?!" Someone yelled from the back. There was an awkward silence before I cleared my throat. "Well duh!" I chuckled nervously. "No we don't!" A girl stood up. "We are girls who aren't as strong as them! They'll will win no matter what, we have zero chance! Who's idea was this?!" She exclaimed and people started agreeing with. "Guys! You have to have faith in yourself!" I slightly laughed. "Did you not see the boys in your glee club last year at the final night bash? Everyone loved them! They're already thirty points ahead for singing a huge song together when they headed to their mess hall earlier!" Another girl stood up. A huge ruckus started and everyone was getting angry and upset.
"HEY!" I yelled, causing everyone to get quiet. "You guys sound ridiculous! The age range on the girls side is seven go nineteen, and you guys are pulling yourself down together in front of kids! Are you kidding?!" Everyone stayed silent. "Just because we are girls doesn't mean we can't do a thing they can. I don't know how in the WORLD you guys got this train of thought, but I want you all to drop it now, okay?" They all didn't agree at all. I turned and looked at the girls and Rachel stood up. She hooked her phone to the speaker system, and soon, all the girls got up and started forming besides me.
Rachel: Ladies all across the world listen up, we're looking for recruits. If you're with me, let me see your hands stand up and salute. Get your killer heels, sneakers, pumps or lace up your boots, representing all the women. Salute, salute!
I stood in the middle and put my hand on my hip, giving off as much sass as I could. I wasn't having these girls give up, not in my watch.
Santana: Ladies all across the world listen up, we're looking for recruits. If you're with me, let me see your hands stand up and salute. Get your killer heels, sneakers, pumps or lace up your boots, representing all the women. Salute, salute!
Both: It's who we are, we don't need no camouflage. It's the female federal, and we're taking off
Camila: If you're with me, women, let me hear you say
We all started to do the same dance and whipping our hair around. People still looked bummed out, but others started to get interested.
All: Ladies all across the world, listen up, we're looking for recruits. If you're with me, let me see your hands, stand up and salut. Get your killer heels, sneakers, pumps or lace up your boots. Representing all the women, salute, salute! Attention! Attention! Attention Representing all the women, salute, salute!
I hopped across the stage onto a long table that stretched to the back and started strutting. The other girls got the same idea and we were all on a table. I looked all the girls sitting who passed by me dead in the eye, because I meant everything I said.
Camila: Sisters we are everywhere, arriors, your country needs you. If you're ready ladies, better keep steady, ready, aim, shoot. Don't need ammunition, on a mission, and we'll hit you with the truth. Divas, queens, we don't need no man, salute!
Angie Sisters we are everywhere, arriors, your country needs you. If you're ready ladies, better keep steady, ready, aim, shoot. Don't need ammunition, on a mission, and we'll hit you with the truth. Divas, queens, we don't need no man, salute!
I then bent down while still on my feet and stared at this one girl who was one of the people who said we'd lose. She started grinning with me and she looked at all her friends, getting them on to what was about to happen.
Both: It's who we are, we don't need no camouflage. It's the female federal, and we're taking off
Camila: If you're with me, women, let me hear you say
Then, all of us on the tables started stomping and all the girls in the cafeteria started banging cups on the table, pounding on it, and even singing,
All: Ladies all across the world, listen up, we're looking for recruits. If you're with me, let me see your hands, stand up and salute. Get your killer heels, sneakers, pumps or lace up your boots. Representing all the women, salute, salute! Attention! Attention! Attention Representing all the women, salute, salute!
I grabbed the emergency bull horn off the wall and turned it on full blast as everyone jammed out, "Ladies, the time has come, the war has begun. Let us stand together. And remember, men fight great, but women are great fighters." I said into it.
All: Huh! Representing all the women, salute, salute!

It was around one AM when I finally got the text message from Finn through the little patch of service I found that I could come see him. I haven't seen him for a week and it was hard knowing all day him and I were in the same area but couldn't see each other. I walked over to the game hall where I knew he'd be and walked inside. Some Warblers I actually got along with were on the mini stage doing a song while others played pool, did darts, and mini bowling. Only camp councilors, the sixteen through nineteen year olds, were allowed in the game hall, and it was mainly the seventeen and nineteen year olds because the sixteen year olds still qualified for curfew.
I looked around and stood on tiptoes since the hall was massive, and saw Finn at a poker table in the back with strangers. I walked over and Finn saw me and started smiling so hard. "Who is that?" A guy asked. Finn ran from behind his side of the poker table and I leaped into his arms. I kissed him deeply as he spun me around. "Well, I guess someone knows who she is." I heard him say. Finn put me back on my feet and kissed me one more time before taking my hand and guiding me over to the table snd sitting me in his lap once he sat down. "This is Camila, my girlfriend." He introduced me. "Oh, she's that girl you were talking about earlier with the smoking hot body?" One guy asked, and Finn kicked him under the table. I chuckled and looked at everyone as they said their name while they played their cards; Austin, Samuel, Peter, and Dane. Austin and Dane were from the Treble Clefs, Peter was from the Warblers, and Dane was from the Note Gangers. "It's nice to meet you all," I smiled. "Wanna play poker?" Finn asked. "I don't know how really." I sighed.
Dane kindly pulled up a chair for me and they all helped me play as we cracked joked and did a cheers with our apple juices to a good start to our Glee Camp week.
