Untitled Part 14

"Are you sure you're going out on a mission wearing that kid?" Kouta questioned me as he looked at my backpack. "What did you even pack?!"

"Well, I have to be prepared! Extra clothes, sleeping bag, a few books, pots and pans just in case, bandages, snacks, drinks, more snacks, weapons, even more snacks, and a big giant pillow for me to sleep if I'm tired!~"

"You have got to be joking..." He muttered under his breath and rolled his eyes. In a quick flash, he pounced onto me and suddenly the backpack was completely off me. I heard his paws hit the ground softly as he ran to put everything back, without hesitation. Soon, my backpack only contained weapons and bandages and whatever other essentials I might need. Well, this does feel lighter...

"Maybe I should let you pack for me from now on. I'll just wear the new outfit I bought since this is quite an old one.." I ran to the bathroom and shut the door to changed. I tied a handkerchief over a small bruise from the incident in front of Kiba a while ago and placed my weapons pouch onto my waist as well as the feral fang duo. Taking one last look in the mirror, I let out a small sigh before opening the door and running off to the gate with Kouta trailing behind, carrying my backpack with his mouth.

3rd POV

"YEAH~! ALRIGHT!!"

"What are you so excited about, Naruto?"

"This is the first time I ever left the village! I'm a traveler now, believe it!"

"SEE KOUTA! I TOLD YOU WE WERE GOING TO BE LATE!" Someone cried out, surprising everyone. A cloud of dust could be seen as the footsteps got louder and louder.

"WHY YOU! WHO WAS THE ONE THAT PACKED THEIR ENTIRE ROOM AND WANTED TO PACK IN SNACKS AFTER SNACKS AFTER SNACKS AND DECIDED TO WASTE THEIR TIME TALKING TO THEIR MATE!?" A rough voice replied, quite loud as well.

"WELL THAT WOULD BE ME, BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW BY KNOW I GET HUNGRY! BESIDES, I'M A LADY, OF COURSE I HAVE TO PACK NECESSARY THINGS! KIBA IS NOT MY MATE YOU LITTLE-"

"SHUT UP! I CAN EVEN SMELL YOUR BROTHER! HE'S USUALLY THE LATE ONE!"

"WHO CARES ABOUT HIM! THAT IDIOT JUST HAPPENS TO SHOW UP ON TIME FOR ONCE! BIG DEAL!"

"Why did I get dragged into this?" Kakashi let out a deflated sigh and slumped over. So...Kiba, eh?

The arguing duo soon came to a stop in front of everyone, panting every now and then. Everyone just took a glance at them and sweat dropped. Will this be a usual routine? They all wondered, excluding Tazuna.

"Kimiko, see you got a change of clothes. It's nice.." Kakashi nodded towards his little sister as she gave him a small salute.

"Kimi-chan, did you ever have that marking on your right arm over there?" Naruto pointed out, making everyone's head turn to look.

"It's been there the entire time, baka. After I signed the contract with my summoning animals, this appeared." She glanced around as everyone just stared blankly at her.

"Hey, am I suppose to trust my life to these two runts and that mutt?!" Tazuna's voice snapped everyone out of their daze. He was pointing to, of course, Kouta, Naruto, and Kimiko.

Before Kakashi could step in, Kimiko giggled a sadistic and non-friendly giggle before gripping on of her swords. In a quick flash, a gust of wind blew and Kimiko was already holding a sword near the his neck. Everyone, including Kouta and Kakashi, was shocked at how fast she was and how quiet she seemed to run.
