As i sat in Rob's Laundry Mat i absentmindedly watched the old woman fold her clothes and put it in her mesh bag. It was a normal Monday night on the lower east side of the town. I came here every other night to wash my clothes.

I broke my gaze as the door opened and a whistling man in a hoodie came in. I've never seen him on this side of town in my short life. He was pretty tall standing at about 5'11. Wore some grey joggers, black Nike shoes, grey hoodie, and a golden chain with a religious cross attached to it. The hoodie was far back on his head enough to let me see it was a very good looking black male specimen.

The interesting thing is we don't get many other races outside of ours in this area. I'm Latina as are most of the population in Inglewood, California.

He quickly peered around the laundromat to find only three people here, the old Latina lady, the owner's son behind the counter reading a playboy magazine, and me of course.

I curiously gazed at the man as he jogged across the laundromat to get to me. He glanced both left and right before sitting next to me. Why? I have no idea.

"Hey." he muttered as he looked down at his hands.

"Hey..." i replied, not knowing what to say to this strange dude.

He went into his pocket and brought a bottle of pills and placed them in my hands. "Yo what the fuck? Um no thanks. I don't do drugs with the exception of taking a hit from the blunt when i'm with friends." i chuckled nervously as i tried to hand him back his sketchy bottle of pills.

He turned his head to me and pushed the bottle of pills to me, "just listen to me. If you still don't want them after i tell you what they are, i'll take 'em back."

"Well i got nothing better to do, so i guess i can listen to what you've gotta say." no way in hell was i going to take these damn pills, i don't want to get caught by the cops with these damn things.

"Alright well how should i start this off?" he pretended to think.

I sat there staring at him for a solid two minutes before he spoke once more. "These pills are called DNOS pills the-"

"What does it stand for?"

"What do you mean?"

"What does DNOS mean? It has to stand for something right?"

"what ? no, it doesn't stand for anything."

I looked at him appallingly, "what do you mean 'it doesn't stand for anything.'? It has to. Every disease, bacteria, drug and virus that has a long name is abbreviated like DNOS."

"What are you? Some scientist that specializes in abbreviating virus and stuff?" he asked sarcastically.

"No, but i do love to read articles about science such as, forensics, physics, neurochemistry, botany-"
