So if there's any writing in bold it means they are talking through their mind link.

The room was silent. So deathly silent. I knew then that whatever was happening was bad. And I shouldn't have any idea that something was going on. They were hiding whatever was happening, concealing it. Jax flinched and looked away from me, where everyone else kept staring at me, shocked that I knew something. Maybe something they didn't know.

"What do you mea-"

"Do not give me that bullshit. I gave you answers, now I want mine," I narrowed my eyes at Xavier for trying lie to me. Anger coursed through my veins and my eyes slightly glowed. But I kept the reins on my power tight. The last thing I needed was to blow.

Calming myself I looked at Jax to see him watching me, eyes wary and surprised. "You kept control."

I nodded silently. I watched as he sighed, realising he would be the one to tell me.

"There have been attacks on a few different immortals. Just little attacks like three werewolves, nine seraphim, and then five, female vampire. Not a trace was left behind on the first two, nothing. Then Isaacs scent was found near where they found the vampires bodies. He was out doing.. errands that night. We couldn't exactly tell the King what he was doing."

I went through everything he said in my head. Isaac was framed. But why? Why him? Why not Xavier or Blake or Jax or one of the girls. My eyes landed on the two men standing by the desk. There eyes haven't left me since I arrived. Oh shit! I knew, I fucking knew.

"It's not about Isaac. Never was. He was framed specifically so he'd be put on trial. That's why they chose the vamps. They didn't know about me so try didn't count on me taking him out of it. This, all of it, is about you two. Or at least one of you. I haven't figured it out yet. But whoever this is, they want to hurt you. So they're going to take away the people you care about. And I can guess that Isaac was the first person you trusted and cared about in awhile," watching Blake and Xavier I registered the shock. They didn't think I'd put it together so quickly.

Jax chuckled, "She's good at reading people."

Looking back towards him I looked him over once again before sighing.

"Whatever your not telling me, I need to know Jax. There's a specific thing that your not telling me but I've been to Machu Picchu. I stayed away from the people, kept hidden but I felt it, the sadness, the disparity. I went to the Eastern Island and do you know what I found. Five witchlings were drained of blood. Five! I've been to more places and I've felt everything. So when your ready to tell me I'd  love to fucking hear it."

I could feel my power sloping through the gaps. Grasping it quickly I whispered adoring words to it, trying to calm the beasts within.

"I'm sorry. I'm just trying to protect you. You didn't want to come back, ever. Yet I asked. I'll tell you when we're alone," Jax's voice was solemn. Whatever was happening it was bad.

"I knew I would have to come back. I was just trying to prevent it. It came sooner that I hoped it would,"  my voice was barely a whisper but I knew he heard me. He knew I would have to return one day.

Jax turned to the others, "I'm going to show Kali to her room."
