The scalding water ran down my back leaving a slight burn wherever the water hit. It was a nice kind of burn, a burn that made my itchy skin bearable. A sigh escapes my lips as I leaned my head against the cool tiles on the wall. My breath was starting to come back to me. The hot water calming me.

I'm only here a day and the nightmare were getting worse. I'd learn to deal with them over the years but now they were consuming.

After standing under the water for half an hour I started to wash myself. I had things to do today. A lot of things. Good. Busy was good, it kept my mind occupied.

Slipping out of the shower was a challenge in itself, I could stay in that all day. Drying myself off I looked at myself in the mirror before brushing my teeth. All immortals or supernaturals had a certain beauty, gracefulness about them. But even I knew that I was different by just looking at me. My beauty was unique and other-worldly. No one was as beautiful a I was. And I hated it. I hated the attention it brought me, unwanted attention. The people my beauty attracted were beautiful on the outside, but they were ugly and sinister on the inside. I loved that I was different and I loved how I looked but I hated it too. I guess I kind of had a love/hate relationship with myself.

My hand gently ran through my straight chocolate brown hair, with the subtlest golden highlights, it reached down to my waist. My button nose was cute and my plump lips could do very naughty things, straight white teeth and slight cheekbones. A slender neck. My body was a near perfect hourglass shape, C cup breasts, flat stomach that you could make out the outline of my abs, narrowed waist and big hips that made my ass big, thick thighs but long toned legs. My skin was a creamy white colour. But my eyes. They caught all the attention. They were my favourite feature. Pure gold. When using my powers they became more vibrant and looked like flickering flames, framed by dark thick eye lashes.

Sighing yet again, I walked into my room and dropped the towel. Ooh what colour should I wear today. I loved lingerie, the right lingerie could make any woman feel powerful. Picking up a matching dark purple set I threw it on and grabbed my denim shorts and a black sweater that fell off one shoulder. Converse, where are my converse. Ah ha found you! I quickly ran a brush through my hair before heading out.

I found everyone in the study from last night. I sat myself down on Jax's lap and smiles innocently up at him. He just rolled his eyes at me and wrapped one arm around my stomach.

Everyone was watching our little exchange weirdly. Huh wonder what that's about.

Oh shit, yeah! Jax is a total grump. Completely stotic the whole time. Except when I'm around. We're just so used to each other. He's the only family I have left and I'm the same for him. He's been with me since I was born, always a part of my life.

Laughing a little I gave a small shrug, "You'll get used to him."

"Damn girl, you got him wrapped around your finger. How long did it take you? Huh?" Jessie's eye were lit up with excitement and curiousness, "I wanna know how you do it. Come on, spill."

This got a proper laugh from me, "I'm going to like you. Oh I've got him wrapped since before I could talk. Ain't that right Pooh Bear?"

Jax groaned and thres his head back onto the couch we were sitting on. While Jessie and Anna found it hilarious.

Glancing around the room I watched everything. Sending my magic out towards the rest of the mansion and the rest of the property I tested the restraint and the protection on this place. Huh it was actually pretty good. And that's something coming from me. But still not completely unbreakable.

Coming back to the conversation I saw that Isaac was arguing that he was perfectly fine after everything that happened and that he was strong enough to go out and do whatever he had to do.

Before this could escalate any further I asked the question that has been bugging me since I got here.
