Kitty Zalia-Revel-Kallig-Nox stood on the walkway leading to her private landing platform, behind her new house. She'd temporarily moved her own ship into orbit, or more accurately, had her droid move the ship into orbit, to make way for some special guests.
She hadn't seen her younger relatives since... A while ago. After Kitty had first contacted them from Dromund Kaas to tell them they were related, they'd made weekly contact.
But that had been sixteen years ago, and when Kitty had become a Sith Lady, she'd been too busy to contact them. So, the last time she saw them was probably at her wedding. 11 years ago. With exception of Holly's tree-delivering, of course...
But then she had got her own house and decided it was a good time for a family reunion. She had sent out messages to them all. Well, the five of the eight Talon sisters with whom she was acquainted with, anyway. The others were in Republic space, so that was out of the question.
But she had caught up with Mayrina and Tali, the two Sith, who had now finished their training. They had both finished their Sith training and were members of the Dark Council. Tali, once a shy little child, was the infamous Emperor's Wrath now.
Once she had got the shock out of the way, Kitty had been smug, saying that 'of course her relatives were destined for great things, just like she was.'
Then she had contacted Aayla. Aayla was Cipher Nine, an Imperial Agent known for making trouble. Kitty was proud of her too.
Holly and Liya were still running their criminal enterprise. She expected nothing less from a Bounty Hunter and a Smuggler.
She had also discovered that Tali and Holly had both recently got married. Holly was married to a Mandalorion, of course, but that didn't bother Kitty. The boisterous Bounty Hunter could look after herself.
She had had a longer conversation with Tali. Tali wasn't shy anymore, but Kitty would always thing of her that way. Consequentially, she was curious to meet Tali's husband. Her overprotective streak was telling her that anyone going near her relative needed to be thoroughly inspected, interrogated and if necessary, threatened.
Tali didn't seem aware of Kitty's intentions. Mostly because she had become excited at the news that Kitty had a child, and had demanded to see said child. So, Sithmas seemed like a good time for a reunion.
Technically, it was the day after Sithmas, since yesterday had been a time for a more... Private celebration, Kitty reflected. But that wasn't the point.
Soon, ships began to arrive. Aayla was the first to appear. The Agent had come alone, her crew were busy elsewhere. She sauntered over to Kitty with a grin, "Finally got around to arranging a family reunion, huh? About time."
Kitty nodded, "I think we all got very busy with our work. But now we're not, so why not?"
"Indeed. In fact, some day we'll have to drag the republic scum over here for a proper family reunion," The Agent commented.
Kitty considered that carefully. She had never met her sister, nor the two Jedi and the Republic Trooper who she was related to. That could be messy. But interesting. Maybe one day...
But she didn't reply, because May had just arrived, and the conversation turned to Dark Council gossip between the two Sith. With Aayla taking notes quietly, for future reference. Dark Councillors' secrets could be useful.
Shortly after that, Holly turned up. She came along with her husband, and Liya, who had hitched a ride on their ship. Unfortunately, being of the criminal nature, they were acquainted with Andronikos and were soon gossiping loudly with him too. Andronikos was the only crew member at home and was by her side, after all.
That just left Tali, whose ship landed a little while later. Everyone else stopped their gossip and looked up. The ramp came down, and Tali emerged with a grin.
"Hey, you lot. Kitty, long time, no see," She greeted them. She really was different, Kitty noted.
Then a man in an Imperial Uniform appeared behind her.
Her shyness temporarily returned as she turned to him, blushing. "This is Malavai Quinn, my Captain... And husband." She explained quietly.
"Ah." Kitty narrowed her eyes and inspected Malavai in silence for some time. Malavai, who was used to Sith and only a little bit nervous, politely greeted her. The Dark Lady paused before finally answering. "It's...Interesting to finally meet you, Captain Quinn."
Both Tali and Malavai relaxed as they realised Kitty wasn't going to murder anyone just now.
"Now, more importantly, I want to see just how weird your kid is." Tali added, her grin returning.
But Kitty just grinned and scooped up Avrria, her four-year-old daughter, from behind her, where the girl had been playing. "This," She grinned, "Is little baby Avie." She handed her to Tali.
Avrria, who'd been innocently watching all these strange people in her home, stared up at Tali with big green eyes. "Aw... She's cute." Tali smiled.
Kitty proudly nodded. "Of course she is." She announced smugly.
"Perhaps we should have children." Tali tactlessly said, nudging Malavai. Kitty, who'd only just accepted the idea that her 'little' Tali was married, clenched her fists and tried very hard not to look murderous as the colour drained out of Malavai's face.
It certainly put the Sith off the idea of any more family reunions for a while, though there were still many relatives she had never met.
