So today is the day after my parents decided that our new neighbors are not vampires. For the most part, I still don't belive that Derek is normal. He seems too quiet of a person. Mom says she's going to have Derek and I go hang out somewhere to get to know eachother. I think it is a bad idea, but mom dosen't listen to me. She thinks she has a better gut feeling than me, eventhough our last neighbors, she didn't know what they were and almost got killed because of it. Luckly, my oldest brother Shane came in and saved her. Since then she thinks she can tell the signs more. I have a bad feeling about Derek. Something doesn't seem right about him. I get to do more investigating because I have school.

"Hey guys what do you think about the new guy." I asked my group of friends, sitting at the lunch table munching on my lunch.
"Well I think he's kind of cute." said my best friend, Mandy
"Ya Mandy well I think he's creepy. He's just so ewww!", said my other best friend Trish.
"What do you think Zeb? Since you brought it up" Mandy and Trish said in unison.
"Well............" I said trying to stall.
"Come on Zebby spill it already." said Mandy
"Ok well before I tell you..... Don't call me by that nickname. you know I hate it when you or Trish call me that." I said still trying to stall. Obiously not working.
"Just tell us already your killing me with the suspense." said Trish
" Okay what I tink about Derek is that I have a bad feeling about him. And I don't trust him. And that he seems strange cuz he never talks..............." I spat out and starting to ramble on.
"So what you are tryin to tell us is that you don't like him." Mandy said figuring out my gibberish.
"Ya" I said.
The conversation ended with the bell ringing. We all got up and went to our next class, which I didn't have with either of them. Sadface. I have my next class with Derek and luckily it is study hall. That means I don't have to talk to him. Thank god. But I won't be able to do my research with him around me. Great.
