New year special

"Ragini where were you?" Sujata asked her as soon as she stepped inside the house after her morning walk which turned into a afternoon walk too. The clock showed 1 pm.
Ragini was not in this world, she was somewhere else. In some parallel world where everything made  sense. Her college degrees, law degree and her marriage with Sanskar. The last one made her realize that in this real world of hers this marriage with Sanskar made no sense at all. But in her parallel world she can definitely feel her Sanskar.
Sujata with out getting any reply went back to the kitchen leaving her alone in her own parallel world.
Earlier she had a motive ofcurse..everything used to make some sense..everything she was doing was for the search of truth. All her theories proved wrong. She was herself wrong all these while.
"swara killed Suraj maheswari" these words of lakshya hammered in her head.
If not the maheswaris than who...?
Who killed her parents? who was behind all these plots?
She was absolutely wrong about the maheswaris.
She lost all hopes now though for her Sanskar was still beside her.
She didn't get those positive vibes from him now. The reason itself is unknwn to her.
She went back to her room and lied on the bed locking all the thoughts coming into her mind .
'I have never asked Sanskar if he loves me or just considers me a good frnd? What if I ask him? What if he rejects me saying that he never felt that way for me? I am living with a lie. For uncle and aunty their son is married to me but what if this truth comes out? They will be  broken and I didn't tell sanskar that I lied to his parents about our relation. I need his support in this fight. I can't do it alone. I am not so  brave. I need to talk to Sanskar..but that day i introduced him as my husband to lakshya. He didn't say anything..He wasn't paying attnetion ro what i said maybe or may be it didn't matter. But i will sort out all th3 problems'
Ragini's phone beeped. She opened to find a text message from lakshya.
'New year party at my place @7..i Will provide you some information!'
She heaved a sigh of relief seeing his msg. She is gonna start her case against the murderers of her parents again..
But before that she needs to talk to Sanskar..and ask him whatever happened in this four years.
It was 5 in the evening.
Ragini was getting impatient with each passing second. Sanskar still didn't return home.
The doorbell rang and she rushed to open it. She got disappointed seeing only courier boy holding a box in his hand.
"Mrs ragini Mehta?" the boy asked.
Ragini nodded her head.
"Mam it's a gift for you..please sign here" he showed her the place to sign.
She signed and closed the door taking the gift box wrapped beautifully.
She saw a note attached to it.
'Ragini it's a dress for the party this night...with the matching masquerade. I will spot you with the help of this..swara might be there. You never  know so its a masquerade party..see you soon' she read the more and was back in the drawing room to wait for Sanskar
It was 6 now.
Sanskar came inside the house. By this time she was in her room. She rushed down for him. He looked at her shocked.
Without listening to Sanskar ragini dragged him to her room and locked the door.
"What is it ragini? Why are you Behaving so childish? I am really tired." he said irritated.
Ragini never expected this from him
"answer my questions and go to your room" she said and made him sit.
"okay after your fake death I told your parents that we were married and still they don't knw the truth..alright..and Sanskar I dont knw about you but I really love you..your death broke me totally and I was in shock for all these years. Now you are back but I don't get thise positive vibes from you anymore..is everything alright between us?"
sanskar(varun) looked at her with eyes wide open..
" Ragini I never had those love feelings for you..i alwys considered you a frnd nothing more than that...i am sorry to break you all these years..." saying this he rushed to his room .
Ragini sat their in utter silence
varun's pov...
I never expected her to ask these questions all of a sudden. I knw bhai you really loved her but I can't lie coz I am not Sanskar...i am varun...and i dont love her.
Don't knw what she must be thinking
I am sorry bhai I am really failing to keep your promise!

Next chapter will be the party and some new twist in the tale...
