"So. . . ," Mest eyed the two men curiously. "No trouble?"
"Nothing." Lucy lied with a smile.
I know we had that issue with the bed and cuff thing. . . but that was more her fault. Cobra mentally noted.
"Have these two been behaving?" Lahar inquired, crossing his arms as he leaned back into the chair.
"Yes, they have." Lucy grinned. Midnight and Lahar glared at each other, while Cobra scowled at Mest and the man just did the same.
Lucy was out of it. She didn't know exactly what to do; she knew that the two hated the criminals--visa versa. But it couldn't really be helped. Now, could it? Nonetheless, Lucy just decided to speak up."Lahar, Mest," She got the attention of the two officials. "Cobra, Midnight." The two didn't even take the effort to even look at her.
"Midnight and Cobra have taken a while to get close to--but, I'm sure it'll turn out just fine and they'll be free and able to roam by the end of the six months."Lahar and Mest. . . if all of you are just going to glare at one another--then, I'd advise you guys to leave."
Lahar stood up and motioned Lucy to follow him to the kitchen--while Mest stood on guard and kept a stern eye on the two.
"Six months," Lahar started. "it's a lie. They could get out anytime they want--as long as it's proved. You understand?" He said.
"So. . . anytime I feel that they're okay to be free--I can just let the two of them go?" Lucy asked, making sure what she heard was correct.
Lahar nodded."Contact us first, though. We'll come right away." He added. Lucy leaned back on her counter.
"What if it takes longer than six months?" Lucy inquired. Lahar moved closer to her--he whispered to her ear:
"Then, the doctors will have to take care of that." The raven-hair softly said. She gasped, slightly.
"You two done with your bullshit?" Cobra was seen standing at the doorway, his arms crossed. Midnight behind him with his red eyes glowing a bit more than usual.
"Yes. Yes, we are." Lahar moved away from Lucy. The two officers bid their goodbyes and left.
"You two were a bit too close, don't you think, woman?" Midnight said sternly, still glaring at the front door.
"Cobra," Lucy ignored Midnight's remark. "I want you to be honest with me; did you hear our minds?"
The maroon-hair stared directly at Lucy's brown orbs. "No." He said nonchalantly.
Lucy said thank you and went upstairs.
"Did you really not hear what they were saying?" Midnight stared at his feet.
"Nah. I couldn't. With that dumbass, Mest, I couldn't understand them." Cobra crossed his arms. Midnight stared down at the ground quite crossly.
