A mission

 "Lucy," 

The blonde blinked her eyes two times, before snapping back to reality. "P-Please, come in," She made way for the drenched men. The two in the front nodded and went inside. The other two followed, both glaring at Lucy. The fair-haired girl, flinched a bit from their evil glares. Lucy closed the door and told the four to wait while she would get them some towels. The strawberry blonde came back and handed it to Mest, Lahar, and when she tried to give it to the other two. They just snatched it away and growled. Lucy was a bit hurt and annoyed. She's trying to be nice, can't they at least try?

"So, what brings you two here?" She asked Lahar and Mest.

"Well, we need you to do a mission for us, since you are a fellow cop, part of our association," Lahar said.

Lucy Heartfilia is part of the Fiore Police Association, or also known as FPA. There are seven groups. Fairy Tail, Sabertooth, Lamia Scale, Blue Pegasus, Mermaid Heel, Crime Sorciere, and Quatro Cerberus. Fairy Tail, the best group out of the seven. The groups take missions given by the 'Main Office' of the FPA, then get paid after. The jobs include hunting down criminals, illegal drugs, top secret missions, etc. Lahar and Mest are one of the close friends of Lucy, and also work in the main office of FPA. 

"What do I have to do?" The strawberry blonde asked.

"You must watch over these two," Lahar pointed to the raven-hair and the burgundy-hair.

Lucy's P.O.V

"You must watch over these two," Lahar pointed to Midnight and Cobra.

"What?! L-Lahar! Wh---"

"Wait, Lucy," He cut me off. "We need you to watch over them so. We think that they might have a change of heart. If they can prove themselves to be trustworthy for six months, then they will be released," He explained.

"But, Lahar. They're criminals! Don't you remember what happened?! Those two almost killed my team!" I exclaimed. 

Cobra and Midnight. They almost killed my team when we were on a mission to hunt them down, and bring them to jail! Now, I must look after them?! I'm trying to be nice, but the attitude they gave me! It won't help me forgive them and be nice to them! Change of heart!? As if!

"I know. But you must do it," Lahar said.

"But, why me, out of all the team members and groups of FPA?!" I exclaimed.

"You never fail a mission. You have a kind heart and enough patience. You are perfect for this job," Mest butted in.

But..these two! T-They almost killed my team! They could do it again! They could kill me,too! I can never do it!

"Mest..Lahar..I..can't," I looked down.

"Lucy, please. You're the only one suitable for this job. Please!" The two begged. 

Heartfilia. Don't you give in to their whims! No. No.No.No...but they did so much for me! The least I can do is. No.No! ..eveyrone deserves a second chance..right?..NO.NO.NO.NO.NO.NO. N.O . NO. ....

"I'll do the mission," I said. Darn it!

"Thank you, Lucy!" The two hugged me. 

"Get your hands off me..I hate this side of me," I mumbled. The two men laughed, then unwrapped their arms around me. Darn, my kind heart..

"Okay, now explain to me every single thing," I commanded. They all sat down.

"Well, you have to watch over these two. I've already informed your team captain, Natsu, and your group master, Makarov. The main office of FPA will provide you a large amount of jewels for your house expenses, food, etc. It's the least we can do," Lahar stated.

"Will I still be able to do other missions than this one?" I asked. Mest shook his head.

"No, because you will need to watch them and stop them if they wreak havoc or if they try to escape. You're like a babysitter, but you're babysitting criminals," Mest said.

"So, I'm technically a warden?" I raised a brow. Lahar and Mest chuckled. I looked at the other two. All they did was glare at us three. Are they okay?

"Okay, so. Tell me more about these two," I told them. 

"May we go somewhere else..more private?" Mest asked. I was confused at first, but I understand since there are criminals in my house. I nodded and told them to come upstairs to my room. I sat on the bed, while they stayed standing. 

"Okay. So," Mest began. "Cobra. You gotta be careful with that snake boy,"

"Snake boy?" I asked.

"It's a nickname that his inmates gave him since he was very similar to a snake," He simply stated. Okay..

"He's able to read your thoughts at will. How? Well, that's because he was used as an experiment. He was one of the hostages in the tower of heaven. One of the biggest and deadliest missions your team received. He is very cold, deadly, and strong. Though, we know you can handle a guy like him. Still, be careful of what you think," Mest continued.

"Don't you guys have something to prevent him from reading my thoughts? I mean, the main office of FPA has the most high technology in all of Fiore," I said. They shook their heads. Darn!

"Now, to Midnight. He was also one of the people used as an experiment in the tower of heaven. He is able to cause illusion. His 'power' is an extreme mystery. It almost seems impossible to do. He's able to cause illusions--No, scratch that--Nightmares," Lahar clicked his tongue.

"But, that's impossible! No one can give you nightmares! That's absurd. Nightmares only come to you if you think of something horrible, or something of the sort. Correct?" I crossed my arms. This is ridiculous! 

"It's not. We saw him do it to one of his inmates! He was standing right next to the sleeping guy. He smirked. We don't exactly know how we did it or how it works. But, when Midnight left the guy. Midnight's inmate started talking in his sleep saying "Midnight..don't kill me. PLEASE!" and you know what happened before the guy slept?" I raised my eyebrow. "They had a fight. I understand. It's impossible for something like this to happen. But the scientists of the tower of heaven, made it work," 

I widened my eyes. C-Cobra and Midnight. This is how they almost murdered my family! My team! I never fought them, since I was fighting another of their team memebers, but if they almost murdered Natsu, Erza, and Gray? Then, they have incredible strength. That's what I thought. Sure they must be strong like the team, but they have such 'powers'! It's so surreal!

"Anyways, we made them wear a necklace---looks like a dog tag--that is able to tell us if they escaped or something. If you need something just call us," I stood up and followed them outside. Sigh.

I saw Midnight and Cobra sitting comfortable on my couch. Urgh!

"And, if you can. Please, don't shoot them with a gun or hurt them in anyway. Maybe a tranquilizer. We need them alive and in one piece. I mean, you can hit them, just...not enough to make them end up like how Natsu ended up in the hospital last week because of your infamous 'Lucy Kick'. 'Kay?" Lahar said. I pouted and nodded. Darn..

"But, what if they hurt me?" I asked.

"Hurt them back! Just not too much. Also, even if they are criminals, you gotta treat them like humans. Though, knowing you. You'd take good care of them," Mest smiled. I smiled back. 

"Anyways, that's finished. We'll be coming back again one time to check up on you three. Bye Cobra, Midnight," He took a peek at the two ticked off men. "Lucy," He bowed his head a little bit. 

"Oh, and be careful with Cobra. He has a poisonous snake, Cubellios. Anyways, bye Lucy!" Mest ran away laughing cheekily.

"W-W-WHAT??!! WAIT! IT'S RAINING!" I shouted.

"WE'RE FINE!" They shouted back. Idiots...

I closed the door and turned to see the two men sitting on the couch comfortably. 

Mavis. I hope I'll survive these six months.
