Prologue

It had been discovered about a year ago that mythical creatures were real, they had come forword to let humans know that they were real and they no longer wanted to hide. So in of that to cultivate harmony they had asked humans to take in mythological creatures and you decided to volunteer. You were always gotten on about not being social.

You were chubby, you didn't choose to not be social but after dealing with people making fun of you, you had learned to be shy. You were already and honestly you were happy to take someone in, it'd be interesting to see the world through a different lens. You loved to do that; it was why you had always dreamed of being a globe trotter. You had your own home and were working so why not?

So you had sent out and you were interested and your application and picture had been circulated around and you got twelve responses and you could take in however many you were willing to and could. So that's what you had been doing this Saturday, going thorough the dozen of responses you had gotten and see who would be a good fit for your home and would be willing to take care and respect your home.

This came with a picture of a beautiful man; he had shoulder length golden blonde locks and blue/violet eyes. He wore black pants and a white button up shirt, he seemed completely normal but he had a pair of blonde cat ears on his head and a blonde cat tail.

Notes: Hey there babe! My name's Alfred or Alfie. I'm the hero! From what I gather the average person knows what a merpeople are though they usually think of a mermaid. Basically my bottom half is fish and my top half is human, I need water but I can go a few days without it, but I need to be submerged in salt water every three or so days.

Alfred looked how you would think a merman would look, in all the pictures you had seen his tail was a lot like the Disney movie The Little Mermaid, his tail being a dark sapphire blue and the fins and the scales along his waist that were slowly moving on to be his skin were a light sky blue. His torso was bare and he had sandy short blonde hair with a strange cowlick and glasses over his blue eyes.

Notes: Bonjour petite fleur derable. (Hello little maple leaf.) My name is Matthew, but you can also call me Mattie if you like. I have a pet polar bear cub, but don't worry he's safe, he's not a normal polar bear like you'd think: he can talk and breathe under water and is a lot like a cat or dog from what I understand. I am an Arctic Seal Merman, from what I've seen you understand merpeople but it's different, eh. I'm from much more frigid waters than the fish merpeople so my tail is like a seal to keep me warm. I don't need to be in the water all the time, but I do need to ever few days. If you'd be willing to take me in I'd be grateful, but if not I understand.

The picture of this merman was different from the last but they looked very similar. He had the white tail of a seal and his torso was also bare. He had silky blonde hair that was just shy of his shoulders with a cute curl, he had violet eyes under a pair of glasses. Beside him was a little white polar bear cub and the two looked so adorable.
