You giggled as you waltzed around your living room. You had beenwatching (Jane Austen-esque movie) and seeing the ball you hadoffhandedly commented that you always wanted to ball room dance, butnever had the opportunity to do so.

This Arthur had immediately sent to rectify. He stopped the movie andbegan moving your furniture out of the way. He then grabbed a CDholding (classical artist) work, a favorite of his, and placed it inthe (sound station) to begin the soft yet rhythmic sound of(violins/piano/etc). Bowing he took your hand and gave the gentlestkiss to it. "My dear Miss Last-Name, may I have this dance." Hecooed and you blushed and controlled your giggles, you didn't knowhow you managed but you did.

"Oh dear, I am so sorry Mr. Kirkland! I seem to have lost mydancing card." You did your best to look morose, just to see howhe'd react and you were not disappoint.

"Oh I see, no need to worry my dear; we can just say you lost it onthe dance floor." He encouraged and you stood with a bright smile.

"Well, I do suppose so, it'd be a waste to not dance at such alovely place," you agreed as he led you out to the dance floor. Itwasn't very well done the dance, you had no formal experience, oreven casual experience. So you didn't know the quick, quick, slow, where your feet were supposed to go, or the fact waltzing wasn't justspinning around.

Arthur didn't have legs, he did know how to lead at least and thoughthis wasn't the most traditional waltz it was the two of you. Fun andintimate and loving. There was no beginning. There was no end.

As Arthur danced with you eventually your head came to rest on hisshoulder, nuzzling into his neck, and his arms moved to hold youclose. As he spun you around he moved to the kitchen, which washarder to get to, opening a cupboard he reached in past (food youdon't like) and pulled out something. Before you could question it hespun you back around towards the living room.

Getting there he pulled away to look into your eyes. He stroked yourface gently and gave a slight smile, it was a heart breaking smile. And like that you were instantly on high alert, he had been actingstrange for the past week or so and you were worried.

He showed you what he had grabbed, it was a simple black velvet box.Your first thought went to diamond rings but you quickly dismissedit. He couldn't want...he wouldn't be...

"Name," he whispered and stroked a stray (hair color) (lock/curl)from your face. "I never thought I'd find someone like you;beautiful, sweet, kind, smart, funny, and most of all; accepting. Ihave always been alone, I didn't mind it-I actually wanted it.However being with you, for the first time I've met someone who Iwould mind not being around, so much more than that love, I don'tthink I could ever be happy if you aren't by my side." He thensighed and looked down and slowly opened the box showing the(gold/silver) ring nestled in simple red satin. It was subtle, traditional, with a crystal clear diamond sitting in the middlesurrounded by diamond dust around it so it looked almost like a clearwhite flower if you were to only get a quick glance at it. It wastimeless, to show exactly how his love would be. Then he said them, the words that turned this from just the everyday to one of the BigMoments. Moments that when you look back on your life will splittime, to Before and After.

"Name, will you marry me?" You gasp because even though it waspretty obvious he was going to ask this once he pulled out the blackbox you are still shocked. He gives you a rueful smile and it isobvious just how nervous he is. However you alley his fears when you,in light of a better term, glomp him.
